July’s Best Dog-Friendly Events

Bring Fido out for some summer fun this July! He’s invited to strut his best superhero look at PAWmicon, celebrate Independence Day in a pup parade, and cool off in the water at a pool PAWty during July’s best pet-friendly events.

Dress your canine up in her best patriotic gear for the Pup Parade at Stars, Stripes & Lights in Black Diamond, WA. The event will start with a parade around Ten Trails and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed pups! Be sure to stop at the pup selfie booth for a picture with your pooch to commemorate the day. End the evening by sitting back and enjoying the Independence Day Drone Lights Show.

Pup Parade at Stars, Stripes & Lights will be held on July 1 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Civic Park Basketball Court. Stay nearby in Auburn, WA, at the Best Western Plus Mountain View Auburn Inn where Fido will have a ground-floor room with easy access to the pet area.

Bark After Dark

Bring your pup out on the town after sundown at Bark After Dark, a festival that will be held at Konkel Park in Greenfield, WI, on July 7. There will be food, beer, and live music from Doghouse Charlie. Enjoy shopping from a variety of pet-focused vendors before the main event of the night, the Twilight Trail Walk, which will take place at 8 p.m. Registration for the walk is required before or at the event, and you'll receive a free t-shirt, as well as a reflective pet bandana and a goody bag for Fido!

Bark After Dark will be held on July 7. Reserve a stay nearby at Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport, which is just a few miles from Warnimont Park Dog Exercise Area on Lake Michigan.

Summer Bark Party

Have some fun in the sun and socialize with other dog owners at the Summer Bark Party at Tucker's Tap Yard, an off-leash dog bar in Industry Hill. Enjoy the summer day with drinks and original music from DJ Toonez, as well as food from The Southern Noodle, A2D4 Creations Food and Victory Donuts. There will also be local vendors selling handmade items for both humans and their dogs!

Summer Bark Party will be held on July 16. Stay nearby at Kimpton Cardinal Hotel, which is central to all the dog-friendly fun Winston-Salem has to offer.

Mark your calendars for PAWmicon, a festival in San Diego, CA, celebrating pet owners and their canine sidekicks! Dress your heroic pup up in their best costume for the main event of the festival, the cosplay contest. There will also be themed photo experiences, custom fan art, music, games, trivia, vendors and more. Your super pup will also enjoy treats and swag!

PAWmicon will be held on July 9 at Alesmith Tasting Room & Brewery and benefits the Helen Woodward Animal Center. Stay just a short drive away at Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Central, which is across the street from Lake Miramar.

Summer Splash PAWty

Celebrate the dog days with Fido and the family at Summer Splash PAWty in Leander, TX! Dig out your furry friend’s best swimwear for the dog swimsuit contest. There will also be doggy ice cream, raffle prizes, games and more. If you are looking to add another four-legged family member, adoptable dogs will be onsite from the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.

Summer Splash PAWty will be held at Dog House Drinkery & Dog Park on July 22. Stay just north of Austin at Best Western Round Rock, which is a 15-minute drive from the PAWty!

Patriotic Pooch Parade

Bring Fido to the Patriotic Pooch Parade in his best red, white and blue! This free event will be held at Bill Henfey Park in North Wildwood, NJ. There will be prizes awarded not only for the best costumes, but also for the best decorated bikes, strollers, scooters and golf carts. You can watch the parade from the sidelines, or, if you would like to enter your pup and participate, registration will begin at 8 a.m.

The Patriotic Pooch Parade will be held on July 4. Spend the holiday by the water at The Shore House Residences North Wildwood.
