Posted by Erin Ballinger

A romantic dinner for two is a timeless Valentine’s Day tradition, but this year why not book a table for three? Double-date with your pup’s main squeeze at a dog-friendly restaurant or bar. Whether it’s just the three of you, a group of your loved ones or a special occasion for you and your literal puppy love, here are some pet-friendly restaurants and bars where you can celebrate on February 14. And if you really want to score points, we recommend showing up with the perfect Valentine's gift for your canine Casanova!

Sweep Fido off his paws at The Morrison, a dog-friendly Los Angeles pub that serves items from a special dog menu in bowls on silver platters. Each of its tasty offerings is a mere $6. Hungry hounds can dine on heaping portions of rice served with your choice of grilled chicken, chopped hamburger, or a hot dog wiener. Every order comes with free Milk-Bones, too! While your loyal companion chows down on his grub, enjoy a gourmet burger or salad and an ice-cold craft beer with your date. Have a nightcap in the lobby bar and extend your rendezvous overnight at the pet-friendly W Hollywood.

Celebrate this Valentine’s Day with dinner and dancing at Park Tavern. On the weekends, DJs spin tunes that are perfect for slow dancing with your sweetheart. Park Tavern is considered one of Atlanta’s most pet-friendly restaurants, so of course Fido is invited to tag along for a night filled with great music, food and Valentine’s Day-themed drink specials overlooking Piedmont Park and the Midtown skyline. Make it a weekend getaway in the ATL and enjoy chic, pet-friendly accommodations nearby at Loews Atlanta Hotel.

The restaurant offers several items for pups, from Plain Ol’ Kibble to The Good Dog (8-ounce grilled and sliced NY steak). Treat your human date to Filet Mignon With Green Peppercorn Sauce or Lobster Linguine With Tarragon followed by Crème Brûlée or Chocolate Mousse Cake with Berries. This restaurant, located in the SoFi neighborhood of South Beach, is super pup-friendly and offers a Pooches on the Patio menu, “pawfect” for a special night out. Spoil your best bud with a Dirty Dog Martini (filtered water with veal jus) or the refreshing SoFi Dog (filtered water with slices of cucumber) to wash down his main course of Filet Mignon. Other offerings include Beef Short Rib Stew, Grilled Chicken “Chop Chop,” Beef Meatballs or the Vegetable Plate. While Fido chows down, treat yourself and your special someone to the restaurant’s stone crabs, lobsters, seafood dishes or USDA Prime steaks.

Order your “puppy love” something yummy (may we suggest the grilled flatiron steak?) from the Doggy Menu, and $1 will be donated from each meal to Lucky Dog Rescue. Treat your loved ones to some much-deserved R&R with a stay at the nearby, pet-friendly Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Bungalows, where you can spend some quality time together exploring the hotel’s winding paths, sprawling lawns, and acres of wide-open spaces.

While Fido laps up his meal, treat your loved one to a bloody mary and oysters on the half shell. Moss Beach Distillery will even provide a dog bed! To make the date extra cozy, snuggle up in a blanket beside one of the seaside fire pits and raise a toast to the stunning views of the sun setting over the Pacific. Stay nearby in a fantastic pet-friendly bungalow with views of Moss Beach, where you won’t have to “ruff” it this Valentine’s Day.
