As November arrives and brings crisp, chilly weather, these delightful dog-friendly events will warm your hearts. Whether you're into turkey trots, holiday festivities, the outdoors, or glamorous balls, there's something on the calendar for everyone and their four-legged friend this month.

Huntington Turkey Trot

At the 17th annual Huntington Turkey Trot, participants and their furry best friends are invited to Ritter Park for a day of fresh air and to support the Little Victories Animal Rescue Shelter. Compete for age category prizes in running or walking, with special categories for strollers, pet owners, and creative costumes. Plus, earn recognition for being the farthest-traveled participant or let Fido show off in the competition for the top-performing rescue dog.

The Huntington Turkey Trot will take place on November 23. The cost to enter the race is $30 and advance registration is required. After the event, relax with Fido at the conveniently located Red Roof Inn.

Pawliday Market

Puppy Picnic Co., Second Chance Beer Company and Second Chance Dog Rescue are back with their second annual Pawliday Market, and leashed dogs are invited to join the festivities. Guests can look forward to beer offerings and matching drinks for their furry friends, a perfect way to toast the season. You'll also have the opportunity to meet and interact with adoptable pups, enter exciting raffle contests, and explore a curated selection of stylish pet and picnic items from the host’s retail store in Encinitas, CA. As you browse their offerings and visit local vendors, remember to treat yourself to a delicious bite from the food trucks.

The Pawliday Market will take place on November 5, and admission is free. Guests will have a chance to upgrade to VIP tickets, which will include professional holiday card photo sessions and additional perks. After a day of shopping, you and your pooch can lay your heads for the night at the Staypineapple, Hotel Z.

Doggy Paddle Polar Plunge

Get ready to dive into the holiday spirit to help raise funds for the Monmouth County SPCA. The Doggy Paddle Polar Plunge promises to be a blast, packed with food, music to groove to, and exciting costume contests. There will be a special dog zone for Fido and plenty of activities to entertain the kids. Please keep in mind that your furry best friend can't join the ocean plunge, but fear not – there's a dedicated "Bark Squad" member to watch over him while you make a splash.

The Polar Plunge will be held on November 25 and admission ranges from $25 to $65. After the exhilarating experience, head to this Beautiful Beach Guest House for warmth and comfort as your pup makes himself at home.

B.A.R.K. Ranger

Animal Rescue Festival

On a crisp fall morning, historic downtown Fredericksburg comes alive with wagging tails and excited barks for a truly unforgettable experience. The Animal Rescue Festival starts at Hurkamp Park for a 1-mile walk with your furry best friend. As you go through the course, you'll find water bowls placed to ensure that your pup stays refreshed and hydrated. Afterward, it's time to unwind and find a spot on the grass as you enjoy tunes in the sunshine. There'll also be food trucks, local vendors with pet-related goodies and opportunities to meet others.

The Animal Rescue Festival will take place on November 4 with a $35 admission fee, and you’ll receive a t-shirt and a limited-edition pint glass with one fill-up. All proceeds go towards Fredericksburg SPCA to provide critically important services to animals, people and the community. Keep the fun going at the nearby Best Western.

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region cordially invites you to mark your calendars for a night of elegance, compassion and furry fun at the 18th Annual Whisker Ball. Elevate your style with elegant cocktail attire and wintry charm as they roll out the red carpet for you and your beloved companions. The night promises an array of delightful experiences, including silent and live auctions, the much-anticipated pet parade and indulgent gourmet dining.

The Whisker Ball will be held on November 11 at the Pueblo Convention Center. After a glamorous evening, Fido can enjoy a cozy and comfortable night’s rest at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites.
