Woof-Way Dog Park is now officially open to the canine community at Whitehall Park in Woodway, TX. Decorated with paw prints and dog bones, this eye-catching, fenced dog park is 5,000 square feet of fun. Dog owners can chill out on Adirondack chairs, eat a snack at the picnic tables, and beat the heat beneath the umbrellas. Don’t forget to bring your own water bowl to fill up for Fido at the water faucet.

One of the first Black-owned breweries in Georgia, Hippin Hops Brewery proudly presents its second location in the East Lake neighborhood of Atlanta. Hippin Hops’ first spot only opened last year, which shows how far the company has come in a short time. The new East Lake hangout focuses on sour beers but offers a variety of styles across eight taps. Palatable pours are paired with food menu favorites like grilled shrimp skewers and blackened sea bass with Cajun rice. Enjoy food and drinks on the pet-friendly wrap-around patio, followed by lawn games and a “howl” in one on the putting green.

A new multi-use hiking trail at Loyston Point Recreation Area has opened near Norris Reservoir. This twisty single-track trail is rated moderate and winds through the trees for 6.7 miles. Dog owners are reminded to leave no trace and should take away any waste with them. Be sure to keep an eye out for mountain bikes whizzing around the trail when you’re out hiking with your hound.

Bay Street Dog Park has delighted local pups by swinging open the double gates and opening up for fun in Osprey, FL. Designed to incorporate established trees that provide natural shade in Bay Street Park, the fenced space is an acre in size and divided into two separate areas for small and large dogs. Inside, your pooch will find agility equipment, shaded seating areas, and water to cool off after playing. Afterwards, take a walk around the rest of the park’s trails with your leashed pooch.

Rest up and read Fido a bedtime story at the Storybook Cottage.

The Royal Cascade Trail is a new hiking connector that helps travelers on two legs and four get to Cañon City’s most popular pet-friendly attraction, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. This moderate hiking trail reaches an elevation of 1,800 feet and is 3.6 miles in length. The Royal Cascade joins up with Fremont Peak Trail. If you continue hiking to the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on both trails, but be careful of cactus on the way up.

Legion Brewing in West Morehead recently became the popular brewery’s third location. Bring your leashed dog along to keep you company while you sample a flight of flagship favorites like Juicy Jay, Slainte and Carolina Sparkle Party inside the huge indoor space or with other revelers in the open air seating. If you’re cheering for the Panthers or Charlotte FC, this brewery makes a great pregame hangout before you make your way to the nearby Bank of America Stadium.

Rest up for the night and toast Fido’s new favorite hangout at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel.
