Ahh August, the month that brings the dog days of summer, where everything feels a little more relaxing, lazy, and most of all, hot. During the afternoons spent trying to cool down with your canine friend, you’ll find there are tons of new things to do, such as visiting a social sober bar, exploring an indoor dog park and checking out a recently opened taproom.

When you’re looking for something new to drink, take a trip with your pup to The Buzz, Hendersonville’s first social sober bar and cafe. They welcome you to use the space in whatever way works best for you and Fido, and they designed it to be extra dog friendly, offering complimentary pup cups! Dogs are welcome on the spacious covered patio, which features tons of picnic tables. Stop by and enjoy a morning latte with a friend, use the space to get some work done, or swing by in the evening to unwind with your dog and browse their mocktail menu.

Just a short drive away you’ll find the Hampton Inn Hendersonville, where you and Fido can have a relaxing night after a day full of socializing.

Holy Mountain Brewing Company recently opened a second pet-friendly taproom in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Leashed and well-behaved dogs have always been welcome inside and out at their place, and the Phinney Taproom is no different. They offer a selection of 12 rotating beers on tap, and instead of providing samples or flights, they serve small six-ounce pours to improve the drinking experience and speed up any wait times. The new location offers a selection of snacks and encourages you to order food from local nearby restaurants.

When you’re ready for a rest, you and Fido can lay your heads down at the Ace Hotel Seattle, which is just a few minutes away and requires no pet fee.
