New Pet-Friendly Hotels: August 2021

Every month, more and more hotels are opening their doors to four-legged guests. Whether newly constructed or newly pet-friendly, here are six hotels that are welcoming furry friends for the first time in August.

HALL Arts Hotel

Four-legged Picassos and Rembrandts will admire the detailed composition and vibrant textures at HALL Arts Hotel, the newest upscale lodging in the heart of the Dallas Arts District. Upon arrival, furry guests are provided with feeding bowls, plush doggy beds and yummy treats. Contemporary, luxury rooms adorned with curated photography feature free WiFi, walk-in showers and wonderful downtown views. Exercise in a 2,900-square-foot fitness studio, swim laps in the stunning rooftop pool, and dine on sophisticated American cuisine at the on-site restaurant.

Fido can brag about his fancy accommodations at My Best Friend’s Park at Klyde Warren Park, situated three blocks from the hotel. Leashed pups are permitted to play off leash and splash around in the jumping fountain.

HALL Arts Hotel Dallas welcomes two dogs up to 50 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per stay.

Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons

Furry coeds looking for an exciting college town experience will be pumped to stay at Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons. Located in the shadow of Cornell University and Ithaca College, this modern hotel offers cozy rooms equipped with oversized sleeper chairs, ergonomic workstations, mini refrigerators and walk-in showers. Guests can work out in a state-of-the-art fitness center, enjoy complimentary WiFi in the lobby, order room service or feast on a full American breakfast each morning for an additional fee.

Pups can strike a pose in front of picturesque waterfalls, stroll the lakeside walking path, and hike wetland and gorge trails at nearby Buttermilk Falls State Park. Leashed dogs are allowed throughout the park except swimming areas and beaches.

Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons welcomes two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $100 per stay in Standard King and Premium Double Queen rooms, and $150 per stay in Suites.

Element Sedona

Nestled at the foot of the towering Red Rock Mountains, Element Sedona crowns visiting pups as kings and queens of the desert. Canine guests receive comfy beds, tasty treats, and food and water bowls at check-in. Spacious rooms and suites are outfitted with free high-speed internet, work desks, separate living areas, and kitchenettes with microwaves and mini refrigerators. Hit the treadmill or lift weights in the on-site fitness center, go for a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool, and count the stars at night beside the patio fire pit.

Feast on authentic Mexican and American dishes at Miley’s Cafe, a popular breakfast and dinner spot with pet-friendly patio seating. Outdoor tables are limited, so call ahead before arriving.

Element Sedona welcomes two pets of any size for an additional fee of $30 per pet, per stay.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Plymouth

Pilgrim pooches can settle down in style at the brand-new Fairfield Inn & Suites Plymouth, located halfway between Boston and Cape Cod.
