Every month, more and more hotels are opening their doors to four-legged guests. Whether newly constructed or newly pet-friendly, here are seven hotels that are welcoming furry friends for the first time in March.

1. Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound
Pack Fido’s sunglasses and flip flops for a tropical Florida getaway at Compass Hotel Anna Maria Sound. This brand-new boutique hotel features vivid rooms with breezy decor, hardwood floors, cozy living areas, rainfall-style showers and picturesque views of the sun-soaked marina on one side and the lush Neal Preserve on the other. 2. Club Quarters Hotel Wacker at Michigan
Four-legged vacationers will be spoiled to the nines at Club Quarters Hotel Wacker at Michigan, an urban paradise one block from The Magnificent Mile. The CQ Paws Program showers guest canines with self-heating beds, food and water bowls, a “Dog in Room” door hanger, waste bags and yummy treats. Modern rooms include free ultra-fast WiFi, Keurig coffee makers and cozy sitting areas. Take advantage of quality amenities like the 24-hour fitness center, room service and Wine@5 evening receptions.
Captain Fido can soak in stunning views of Chicago’s famous skyline and learn about the city’s rich history aboard Mercury’s Canine Cruise. Leashed sailors can grab a seat or stretch out on the deck during the trip. Tickets are $37 per adult and $8 per dog.

3. Hotel Leo
Located in the heart of downtown Bellingham, Hotel Leo takes pride in delivering first-class service to Very Important Pups. Guest dogs receive a cozy rug, tasty treats and feeding bowls with mats at check-in. Modern, apartment-style rooms are decorated with local artwork and come equipped with comfy beds covered in luxury Italian linens, private bathrooms, hardwood floors and kitchenettes with microwaves and mini refrigerators. Head 3 miles south to Lake Padden Park, where Fido can play in the fenced off-leash area, explore lakeside trails, and splash around in the cool water.

4. See Sea Motel
Nestled steps from the Atlantic Ocean, the retro-style See Sea Motel offers furry beach bums the perfect home base to enjoy the Outer Banks. Bright, colorful rooms with surfer monikers like Spring Suit, Wahine and Dawn Patrol feature hardwood floors, mini refrigerators and microwaves, and pleasant ocean views. Take a dip in the outdoor pool before eating fresh seafood on the dog-friendly patio at Ten O Six, located two blocks from the motel.
Canine aviators can visit the birthplace of flight by navigating to the nearby Wright Brothers National Memorial. Dogs must remain leashed and aren’t permitted inside buildings.

5. Hyatt House Portland Beaverton
Hyatt House Portland Beaverton combines contemporary luxury with top-notch service in one of the newest pet-friendly hotels in the Portland area. Located in Beaverton’s trendy and vibrant neighborhood known as The Round, this stylish property provides guests with residential-style accommodations highlighted by spacious rooms and suites outfitted with sitting areas, workspaces and full kitchens. Traverse some of the Pacific Northwest’s most breathtaking wilderness with Fido by your side on the 30-mile long Wildwood Trail in nearby Forest Park. Leashed dogs are allowed, but remember to bring plenty of water for the trek.

Furry travelers searching for creature comforts will feel right at home at the new Residence Inn by Marriott Harrisburg North. Specializing in long-term accommodations, guests can take advantage of spacious suites outfitted with full kitchens and separate living areas. Excellent property amenities include complimentary WiFi, free hot breakfast, indoor swimming pool and fitness center, and a relaxing outdoor patio with fire pit.
Fido can sniff spring flowers, trek lake and woodland trails, and put his birdwatching skills to the test at scenic Wildwood Park, located less than 2 miles from the hotel. Leashed dogs are allowed, and waste stations and water fountains are located on the grounds.

7. Embassy Suites Hotel Lompoc Central Coast
Surrounded by beautiful wine country, Embassy Suites Hotel Lompoc Central Coast welcomes four-legged sommeliers with open arms. Rest and relax in roomy suites that feature separate living areas with sofa beds, kitchenettes with microwaves and mini refrigerators, and complimentary WiFi. Go for a swim in the outdoor pool, make the rounds at the evening reception, and fuel up each morning with a made-to-order free breakfast.
Shaggy outdoor enthusiasts will love exploring the manicured gardens and woodland hiking trails at La Purisima Mission State Park, located 2 miles from the hotel. Leashed dogs are permitted, and entrance fees are $6 per vehicle.
