New Pet-Friendly Hotels: November 2023

November brings six hotels that are opening their doors to furry guests for the first time. From the deserts of California to the plains of Texas, Fido can rest his paws at these newly pet-friendly accommodations across America this month.

Pampered pups can relax and unwind at The Good House, a luxury desert oasis on a natural hot mineral spring. Bungalow-style suites and rooms feature hard surface floors, lounge areas, kitchens and kitchenettes, Smart TVs and private patios. Order breakfast, lunch or dinner from the on-site cafe, unwind poolside with a refreshing drink, schedule a deep tissue massage at the day spa and take a rejuvenating soak in the natural hot spring.

Pop across the street to Azure Palm Cafe to enjoy fresh juices and hearty sandwiches at a dog-friendly courtyard table.

The Good House welcomes two dogs up to 45 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per pet, per stay.

Hotel Fraye Nashville

Located in Music City’s thriving midtown, Hotel Fraye Nashville offers elegant dog-friendly accommodations. Stylish, modern rooms include a work desk, chaise lounge, floor-to-ceiling windows, mini refrigerators and bathrooms with rainfall showerheads. Go for a swim in the rooftop swimming pool, dine on fine cuisine at the on-site restaurant and exercise in a state-of-the-art fitness center.

The nearby Tony Rose Park is a great spot to walk Fido, and drinking fountains and shaded picnic tables are provided.

Tucked away in the picturesque Green Mountains of Vermont, the newly renovated Arcady Mountain Motor Lodge is happy to open its doors to furry travelers. Warm, inviting rooms adorned with country decor come equipped with private porch entrances, hardwood floors, writing desks, free WiFi and flat-screen Smart TVs. Start off the day with a hearty breakfast, soak up some sun by the seasonal outdoor pool and gather around the fire pit for a relaxing evening under the stars.

Leashed pups are permitted to hike the neighboring Lye Brook Falls Trail, a scenic forest path that leads to a gorgeous cascading waterfall.

Arcady Mountain Motor Lodge welcomes a maximum of two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $20 per pet, per stay.

Two- and four-legged guests will find solitude in nature at Wild Rice Retreat, a year-round sanctuary nestled on the shores of Lake Superior. Pet beds and bowls are available upon request, and tasty treats are provided. Scandinavian-inspired lodging is outfitted with hardwood/tiled floors, separate living rooms, sleeper sofas, microwaves and mini refrigerators, and front porches. Feast on chef-curated dinners, join a yoga or meditation class, steam in the cedar sauna and explore the forest hiking trails.

Sample a variety of craft beers at a dog-friendly outdoor table just up the road at Adventure Club Brewing, home to a massive wolf statue guarding its front yard.

Canine visitors to North Dakota’s capital city will enjoy the creature comforts at Home2 Suites by Hilton Bismarck. Apartment-style studios and suites contain living areas with sleeper sofas, work desks, and kitchens with full-sized refrigerators and dishwashers. Guests can take advantage of excellent amenities such as a free hot breakfast, on-site gym and laundry facilities, indoor saline swimming pool and fire pit patio lounge.

The nearby Century Bark Park offers separate fenced sections for large and small dogs, plus a spacious fetch field.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Bismarck welcomes two pets up to 100 lbs for an additional fee of $50 (for stays of 1 to 4 nights) and $75 (for longer stays).

Located 30 miles outside of Houston, the brand new La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Katy makes an ideal basecamp for pups and owners exploring The Bayou City. Bright, comfy rooms feature sitting areas, work desks, mini refrigerators and microwaves, and free high-speed WiFi. Fuel up in the morning with a complimentary hot breakfast, exercise in the fitness center, utilize the on-site laundry and go for a dip in the heated indoor pool.

Take a short drive to Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers for lunch at a dog-friendly outdoor table.
