Fly Into Spring and Easter Eggstravaganza
Kick off National Kite Month and celebrate Easter in the Outer Banks with your pooch at the Fly Into Spring and Easter Eggstravaganza. Kites ranging in size from 30 to100 feet will soar above Jockey’s Ridge State Park while you have your pup’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Be sure to join in the fun during the annual Jockey’s Ridge Crossing Easter Egg Hunt! With safety precautions in mind, egg hunts this year will be restricted to personal groups only and require advance reservations for the 15-minute time slots, along with a $10 fee. Fly Into Spring and Easter Eggstravaganza takes place on April 2-3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Annual Easter Surf Contest and East Coast Dog Surfing Championship
This Easter, skip looking for eggs and ride some gnarly waves instead! Four-legged contenders from across the country will take over Cocoa Beach for the Annual Easter Surf Contest and East Coast Dog Surfing Championship. Donning life jackets, surfer dogs will have just 10 minutes each to showcase their surfing skills for the judges. The fun weekend will also include various activities including canine surfing lessons, live concerts, a dog Easter costume contest, rescue groups, and a pet runway model contest. This free, dog-friendly event will be held on April 3-4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lori Wilson Park. CDC protocols will be enforced at the event.
Pucks 'N' Paws Night With the Greenville Swamp Rabbits
Hit the ice rink for a dog-friendly hockey game! Bring your four-legged fan to Pucks ‘N’ Paws Night with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits as they battle the Orlando Solar Bears. Fun activities for pets will take place throughout the game. The event will benefit a local dog rescue organization, too! Pucks ‘N’ Paws will take place at Bon Secours Wellness Arena on April 10 at 7 p.m. Call (864) 674-7825 directly to book your tickets, which start at $20 per adult and up to two dogs. Social distancing measures and a clear bag policy will be in place.
Puptopia Festival Dallas
From enjoying a ball pit-jumping show at the main stage, to meeting new furry friends at the K9 lounge, to getting pampered at the SPAW, Fido will want to take in all the spectacular sensory experiences awaiting him at Puptopia Festival Dallas. Designed to include everything that makes your dog happy and everything that makes you happy to have a dog, this event is sure to get tails wagging. Puptopia Festival Dallas will take place at Pacific Plaza Park from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on April 10. Admission starts from $25.
Earth Day on the Rappahannock
Earth Day on the Rappahannock, Fredericksburg’s annual Earth Day Festival, will look a little different in 2021 but will be just as exciting and fun. Participate in virtual events at home throughout the week and then bring Fido to Old Mill Park on Friday and Saturday nights for two concerts and a movie. The pet-friendly festival is filled with interactive science activities, art contests, live music, delicious food, and more. Earth Day on the Rappahannock is free and will take place at Old Mill Park on April 16 and 17 starting at 6 p.m. nightly.
SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk
Join SPCA Tampa Bay to raise money and get some exercise at this outdoor event that follows all local COVID-19 guidelines. Walkers and their pups at the SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk will enjoy vendor booths, a costume contest and a self-directed, socially distanced 1.8-mile morning walk along the gorgeous St. Petersburg waterfront. This year's walk is free to register, but fundraising is always encouraged. If you raise more than $25, you’ll receive an official 2021 SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Walk T-shirt! The charity walk will take place at North Straub Park on April 17 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Woofstock - A PawzUp Festival
“Pawty” like it’s 1969 at Woofstock - A PawzUp Festival. This spring celebration will include vendors, food, drinks, and a mix of music from that special summer of ‘69 and beyond. Bring Fido’s swimsuit because he can even go for a dip in the doggie pool! All dogs in attendance must be up to date on all vaccinations. Woofstock will take place at iLuckyDog Pet Campus on April 24 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is free.
Allaire Music Jamboree
Step back in time with your furry friend at The Historic Village of Allaire at the Allaire Music Jamboree. This live music concert event will bring together several New Jersey-based bands for a day filled with bluegrass and folk music. Historic demonstrations and activities will also be offered throughout the event. The Allaire Music Jamboree will take place at Allaire State Park & Historic Village on April 24 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tickets cost $5-$15.
