Summer fun awaits Fido across the U.S. during the most “pawtriotic” month of the year. He’s cordially invited to celebrate Independence Day across the country, listen to live music at an epic dog park, try his paw at ice skating, and much more this July.

Dog Days of Summer Boston Harbor Cruise

Dog Days of Summer Boston Harbor Cruise invites seafaring spaniels on a cruise around the harbor, taking in all the sights and rich history of the beloved coastal city. Along the way, mark the city, fish pier, Logan Airport and the USS Constitution off your list of sights to see. Admission is $18 to $27.50 for humans and free for dogs. July cruises set off at 2 p.m. on July 3, 11 and 24.

Created for anyone who doesn't enjoy loud noises and colorful explosions, Fireworks Free Fourth of July at Cannon Beach invites patriots on two legs and four to beautiful Cannon Beach to celebrate our great nation. Instead of a parade, you can relax, let Fido romp in the sand and surf, watch tufted puffins and other seabirds on Haystack Rock, and gather round a bonfire at night. It's one of many pet-friendly events taking place from coast to coast on the weekend of July 4th.

Vermont Symphony Orchestra Concert at Dog Mountain

Hounds will be all ears when they hear the sweet tones of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra Concert at Dog Mountain. The gifted string quartet will perform among the rolling green hills of Dog Mountain, a 150-acre farm that has been transformed into a doggy playscape complete with swimming ponds, hiking trails, an agility course, art gallery full of dog-related artwork, and the only chapel for canines in the world. The concert takes place at 3 p.m. on July 10 and is free to attend.

Rock N Roll K9s Performance Team Show

Marvel at the masterful mutts performing at Rock N Roll K9s Performance Team Show in Frankenmuth. High-energy hounds will be strutting their stuff from 12 to 4:30 p.m. on July 10 and July 11 at the Bavarian-inspired River Place Shops. Grab front-row seats for tricks, dances and competitions with a lively music soundtrack and lots of laughs along the way. Leashed dogs are welcome to enjoy the show for free.

Food Truck Rally Goes to the Dogs

What’s better than a food truck? A whole row of them, of course! Food Truck Rally Goes to the Dogs invites you and your pooch to sample a range of culinary delights in downtown Nampa, ID. Join the Nampa Dog Park Committee for good food, live music, vendors and beer to wash it down. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged to support the continued development of Nampa Dog Park as well as fund a second dog park in town. The trucks roll in at 5 p.m. on July 10.

Dog Park on Ice - Christmas in July

Fido skates on thin ice when he steals food from the table or chases the family cat, so why not let him try the real thing at Dog Park on Ice - Christmas in July in Daytona Beach? Support Halifax Humane Society on July 14 and do your best flying V formation together on the ice. Small dogs can skate at 5:30 p.m., and large dogs can try to stay on their paws from 7 p.m. Admission is $10 per adult, $5 per child and free for dogs. Registration closes July 13th at 5 p.m.

Michigan Medieval Stroll

Sir Fido is invited to the Michigan Medieval Stroll in Lake Orion, where he can explore a mystical world of towering turrets, knights in shining armor, fire breathers, jesters and historical reenactments. Take a picture of your pooch meeting the King and Queen, then enjoy a pint of ale or mead and a turkey leg at the Clansman Gaelic Pub. The Michigan Medieval Stroll takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 24 and 25. Admission is $5-10, and your trusty steed enters for free.

Harry Potter's Birthday Pawty

Bring “Hair-mione” and “Hagrrr-id” to Harry Potter's Birthday Pawty to see what the sorting hat has in store for your pup. The magic starts at 11 a.m. on July 31 at Doggos Dog Park & Pub, the Triad’s first and only park and pub combo. Potterheads can celebrate all things Hogwarts for free, other than the price of membership. If you’re not already a member, visit their website to sign up for a day pass.
