Frank Brown Park and Dog Park

Leashed dogs are always welcome throughout Frank Brown Park, and there is also an onsite dog park for off-leash playtime. The dog park features a large fenced area, benches, and water and cleanup stations. The dog park is located at the back left section of the park.

Dog Beach at Pier Park

When standing in front of the city pier (on Front Beach Rd), the dog beach is located on the right side of the pier. Dogs must be kept on-leash and please keep the limit to 3 dogs per person.

Conservation Park

Conservation Park offers 24 miles of trails and over a mile of boardwalks on 2900 acres, perfect for hikers, bikers, and nature lovers. Trails range from less than one mile up to 11 miles, and there are 12 trails to choose from. Parking, picnic tables, and restrooms are available at the trail head. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Humans should always clean up after their canine companions.

Dolphin and Snorkel Tours

Our focus is on personal experience, we specialize our tours to fit your personal wants and needs. We do what you would like to do and can incorporate many activities into one tour. Some of the services offered are, snorkeling and free-diving many different marine habitats such as artificial reefs, shipwrecks, sea grass flats, pilings, and sandbars, dolphin tours, wildlife viewing and photography, lunch cruises, dinner cruises, private island picnic cruises, estuary eco tours, shell collecting, and shell island tours. We offer educational historical and wildlife narrations on our tours. Captain Lorraine is a knowledgeable naturalist who has spent time studying the area's wildlife and is an expert on the local waters. We supply sunscreen, bug spray, wildlife ID books, mask, snorkel, fins, life jackets, refreshments, a light meal on longer tours lasting 5 hours or more, wildlife viewing nets, binoculars, music of your choice, and the most comfortable seating. Our boat is a 2013 Carolina skiff DLV built specifically for these tours. We are located in Bay Point Marina, the closest marina to shell island and the areas where the dolphins are most often seen. For this reason, we can guarantee dolphin sightings on exclusive dolphin tours that are 2 hours or longer. We also have high quality underwater cameras for rent for some stunning wildlife photography. Your captain can also be your photographer. B.Y.O.B. and pets are allowed. Camp Helen State Park

Camp Helen State Park is dog-friendly! Well-behaved dogs are allowed at Camp Helen State Park, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of their droppings. Pets are not permitted on the beaches or playgrounds, or in bathing areas, cabins, park buildings or concession facilities. Camp Helen is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on three sides, and by Lake Powell, one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida. Prehistoric middens and mounds indicate that humans inhabited the area more than 4,000 years ago. From 1945 until 1987 Camp Helen was a company resort for the employees of an Alabama textile mill. Some of those buildings have now been restored. The 180-acre park is for day use only. Activities include swimming, beachcombing, nature study, hiking and both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Admission is $4 per vehicle. Park is open daily 8am to sunset.
