Description
The Rescue Train’s largest annual fundraising event, Race for the Rescues began ten years ago and has raised over $2.5 Million to help save the lives of thousands of homeless animals in Los Angeles and Orange County, California. In addition to the Southern California event, Race for the Rescues will celebrate its second year in Portland, Oregon benefiting local non-profit 501(c) 3, no-kill, animal welfare organizations, who together help save thousands of animals’ lives. This year’s events will benefit 38 organizations.
In addition to the 5K, 10K, 1K Dog Walk Race for the Rescues will also feature:
• 1 K non-competitive Kids Fun Run--every child gets a medal
• Virtual Couch Potato Race
• Silent auction
• Pet Adoption Event & Rockin’ Adoption Show –Pets from Pasadena
Humane Society, LA Animal Services and OC Animal Care will be
available for adoption
• Raffle, Kids’ Face Painting, DJ, and Pet Psychic
• Food Trucks
• Incentive Prizes for Fundraisers and Top Racers
