Intro to Dog Sports Class

REGISTRATION is OPEN NOW for the CK9's Intro to Dog Sports Class! Dont miss out! This is the first of it's kind in the Inland Empire, possibly even So Cal! In this class we will introduce you and your dog to the fun and exciting world of dog sports.Throughout this six week course, we will teach you to work with your dog and redirect your dog's energy into four different dog sport activities as a fun way to socialize, exercise, train and connect with them. Dogs will work primarily on leash for a majority of the first six classes, or as individuals when off leash. Participants should have had some formal obedience training in order to get the most out of the class. Participants will receive DIY Plans to help continue the fun at home in your spare time. Week 1 - Developing Engagement and your Relationship (Mark It, Motivation & Rewards). Obedience for Dog Sports Week 2 - Agility: Handler Engagement, Obstacle Intro & Sequences Week 3 - Disc Dog: Catching/Throwing for your new disc dog, Disc Dog Games Week 4 - Flyball: Handling, Recall Reinforcement, Course Obstacles (Jumps, Ramp, Props) Week 5 - Flyball Refresh: Recalls. Lure Coursing: Handling, Rules, Safety & Fun! Week 6 - Grad. Day: Dog Sport Quiz & Graduation Lure Fun! TO BE SCHEDULED - Intro to Dog Sports Level 2 will introduce you to three additional sporting activities as well as build on what you learned in the previous session in Agility, Disc Dog & Lure Coursing. We will challenge your dog more socially as well as environmentally with off leash work. There will be one possibly two class field trips. Intro to Dog Sports Level 3 will revisit each of the dog sport activities you and your dog have learned throughout the series, several classes will be set as offsite field trips to increase environmental difficulty.
