Pet CPR, First Aid, and Disaster Response Course

Whether you work with animals or have adopted them into your family, Pet First Aid & CPR is critically important to maintain the health and wellbeing of the creatures that you love. This course is conducted by a licensed veterinarian. Participants in the course will learn the following: How to administer CPR • An understanding of how to take animal vital signs (heart rates, breathing rate, body temperature, mucous membranes, capillary refill time) • How to appropriately handle emergencies (bite/bleeding wounds, bloat, burns, cardiac arrest, choking, exposure to extreme temperatures, poisoning, trauma, vomiting and diarrhea) • How to prepare an effective Disaster Response Plan • The course will be held at MedPro, located at 100 Constitution Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. • To register, please call Melissa at 757-419-3700.
