When you want to really spoil your dog, or just meet other dog owners who are as crazy about their pets as you, there’s no better place to bring Fido than a dog event. Attend any of the dog shows, agility competitions, costume parades, festivals or fundraisers on our Dog Events Calendar and you’ll meet hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dog lovers. Holiday Festival of Lights

The Holiday Festival of Lights has been recognized around the country and the world. It was featured as the only U.S. event in Moscow's Festival of Festivals, Coastal Living recognized it as "One of the Top 10 Holiday Celebrations," the American Bus Association ranked it as "One of the Top 100 Events in the Nation," and it was most recently named one of the "Top 20 Events in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society. More Than Lights. More than just a driving tour, the Holiday Festival of Lights invites you to park your cars and explore all that is offered: - Magnificent sculpture made from over 50 tons of sand - An up-close look at the lights on the holiday train - Mouth-watering treats from Santa's Sweet Shoppe - Giant greeting cards created by local students - Victorian carousel. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a short, non-retractable leash. Please make sure to clean up after your dog. Pets are also welcome for pictures with Santa.

Fantasy In Lights

Treat your family to a fun tradition that’s filled with holiday cheer! It’s Christmas at Callaway, featuring Fantasy In Lights, one of National Geographic’s Top 10 Light Displays in the world. Bring Fido and ride through the dazzling illuminated forest! Can I take my pet to Fantasy In Lights? Pets are permitted in the personal vehicle of guests with tickets for the drive-through light show; not Jolly Trolley. Other than certified service animals, pets are not allowed inside the Christmas Village or on the Beach at Robin Lake.

Lights on the Bay

Bring Fido on a drive through the lights! Driving through “Lights on the Bay” at Sandy Point State Park has become a tradition for many families for the past decade. The Lights on the Bay display is a scenic drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with more than 60 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminating the roadway.

The Elf on the Shelf® Adventure

Knoxville will once again host the country’s only community-wide The Elf on the Shelf® scavenger hunt. Scout Elves will land in Knoxville to begin the scavenger hunt on Friday, November 23. Children of all ages are invited to pick up a North Pole Pass at any of the participating businesses to help guide them through the adventure. Children and children at heart will find fun, treats, and prizes along the way. As a special treat, Santa has granted permission for these Knoxville Scout Elves to remain in Knoxville until Sunday, January 6. Some businesses are dog friendly.
