Pet Friendly Dewey's Golden Jubilee in Dewey Beach, DE
A gathering of golden retrievers and their furparents to raise money for the Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. There are some fun activities planned, all revolving around enjoying furry goldens for some fun in the sun on Dewey’s dog-friendly beaches. It is a time set aside to spend quality time with your precious goldens and meet others who share the same passion for the amazing breed! The three day event starts off Friday evening at the bandstand in Rehoboth Beach for a costume contest. On Saturday morning at 11 AM, meet on the beach at VanDyke Street in Dewey Beach for raffles, photos and lots of fun. Saturday evening at 6:30 PM, meet on the beach (oceanside) for a bonfire.

Pet Friendly Doggie Dash & Splash in Wildwood, NJ
You might not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, but you can certainly register them for a tail-wagging good time with the 5K, and 1 Mile beach run. The start and finish is on the beach next to Raging Waters water park (you and your 4-legged friend will be running, or strolling, on the beach – course map to come). Will your dog be the leader of the pack? If so, then you better get to training because all dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Doggie Dash participants will get complimentary admission to the puppy pool party in Raging Waters Water Park directly following at 10:30 AM. This is an exclusive time slot ONLY available to Doggie Dash participants! Registration also includes: • Bark-tastic dog tag “finisher medals” for your pup • Official Doggie Dash leash • Commemorative Doggie Dash t-shirt • Finisher’s Celebration on the beach with music, food (for 2 legged and 4 legged friends), plus dog games and activities

Pet Friendly Seafarers' Weekend in Cape May, NJ
Bring Fido to come out and celebrate the maritime history and culture of the famous Jersey Cape! This event will feature pirates, music, and family fun. The Valhalla Pirates have been Plundering the Eastern Shores of the American Colonies since 1699. Captain Black and his scurvy crew will be joining us for a thrilling fight scene on both Saturday and Sunday. They will be walking the grounds to take pictures and tell tales of the sea. The Sea Dogs Maritime Band, an authentic maritime reenactment crew, will perform their sea shanties on both days. Bayman Dan will be teaching all ye scurvy dogs the ways of the fishermen and how he makes his authentic fishing nets.

Pet Friendly Greyhounds Reach the Beach® in Rehoboth Beach, DE
This event is held every Columbus day weekend and celebrates its 25th anniversary this October. The event is a celebration of greyhounds and other sighthounds. The event features a huge gathering of doggie vendors from all over the United States selling coats, leashes, collars, decals, car magnets, T-shirts, dog beds, treats and much, much more. the event also features top speakers presenting on topics such as dog behavior, rescuing related breeds such as borzois, afghans, saluki's, whippets, galgos, and lurchers. Stores and local businesses open their doors to the greyhounds and many hotels and local restaurants are pet friendly and welcome greyhounds to their porches and decks. The dogs are also allowed on the beach at this time of year. On Sunday, there will be a parade on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. All proceeds go to participating greyhound adoption groups.
