Sheep Shearing Days at The Amish Farm & House

Bring Fido with you to this exciting farm event that is pet friendly, on a 15 acre farm! Lots of friendly farm animals that would love to meet 4-legged friends. Live sheep shearing demonstrations done by a professional. Watch as the sheep take off their winter coat and prepare for the hot summer months. Bring the whole family and your pets to learn hands on what life is like on the farm. After the sheep shearing demonstrations, watch as professional spinners and weavers use the wool to make crafts. There will also be demonstrations done by an Amish farrier and a blacksmith. Resident artisans- Chris Lubkemann, a woodcarver, and Esther O’Hara, clay artist, will also join in on the fun. Don’t forget to visit the petting zoo and take a buggy ride while you’re here. Be sure to bring cash to buy handmade crafts from the demonstrators and to buy sweet Amish baked goods.
