Yes - this is a dog friendly town...

In Yountville we have a number of water fountains for dogs, a lot of dog waste bag dispensers, friendly people, and beautiful places in town and the surrounding countryside to walk your dog on leash. Dogs are not permitted off leash in Yountville though. Also, courtesy is expected. -- not everyone loves dogs or their wastes. This can be a sensitive issue in the Napa Valley as too many people started bringing dogs to public events so more events started to say "no dogs' on the instructions for the events.

There is a Dog Park in Napa called Alston Park. It is only 10 minutes from Yountville and has a large fenced in area for big dogs to play, a smaller fenced area for small or fragile or less social dogs and also open space and trails for off leash walking with your dog.
