Pet Friendly Getaway Locations

Hello all,
There are a number of pet-friendly getaway locations from DC for a day trip or overnight. I thought its worth archiving suggestions and recommendations, organized by different locations. Some places I have heard: St. Michaels Island, Shenandoah Valley, Chesapeake Beach, and any others?
