How dangerous for dogs in Honduras?

Hello,
I am considering a job in the highlands of Honduras. I have a 2 year old village mix who is well behaved. I keep him on leash in busy areas, but he is good off leash.

My main concern is how dangerous is it for my dog in Honduras. I know there are poisonous snakes and spiders. How often do these harm dogs?

He's very smart about moose, and other Alaskan dangers, but we don't have reptiles up here, and I'm not sure how much to worry.

Any advice is welcome
