Good dog-friendly hotels in NYC?

Hello there! I'm going to NYC for two weeks because of work and want to bring my Fredi, 6 months old Pomeranian, with me. I'll have a lot of time to spend with him and I won't be there for 2-3 hours a day, I hope that won|t be a problem. Where should I book? I've been looking at http://new-york.hotelscheap.org/ but they don't have a filter for dog-friendly hotels. Also, I'd love to stay at a cheap and clean hotel. Thanks!
