Pet Carriers

We are planning a trip to Washington DC and plan to take our 7 pound dog with us. We were wondering if the museums allow dogs in pet carriers in? Our dog is very calm so there wouldn't be a problem with noise and the carrier has no way to for him to get out.

Maybe a Stroller?

What if you used a pet stroller with a cover? I would think as long as he is quiet and not in an area that serves food there would be no issue. It's always best to call ahead and ask though.
