International Pet Travel Dog Travel Forum

Hi all,

I'm shipping my little Jack from LA to Edinburgh at the end of August, and would much appreciate some advice. Edinburgh Airport informed me that to book Lufthansa, I must go through a pet shipper (the only one that allows you to do it yourself is United, and that's not gonna happen).

Can any of you recommend pet shippers for this process? I'm not sure how to narrow down the IPATA list, plus it would be very helpful if I could pick and choose my services. My dog already has the right microchip and vaccs, and my vet is USDA certified, so will give me the correct paperwork. I also don't need ground transport, so I'd like to be able to avoid fees for these things.
