The hotel is in a great location at the inland end of Carlsbad village drive, a great place to walk the dogs, dog friendly restaurants etc nearby. Unfortunately, as a budget hotel, you get a super thin towel in the room, need to go ask for more, doors work hard, not always immaculate. But good enough for the dogs. The staff has always been cooperative, great rates.

Issues with check in made this frustrating. Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and the ocean, but 'grassy' area for my dog was sadly lacking. No internet, they are "working on it." Room was small but clean. Noise level was high.

This is the best Motel 6 we’ve ever stayed in with our puppies. Most of the Motel 6 are barely acceptable. This one is obviously newly renovated, extremely clean and has all of the amenities we could ask for. The location is near everything and there is a security officer on duty all night. Will definitely stay here in the future if we’re in the area.

I’ve stayed here many years back and they have done some renovations. There’s is hard wood floors and a cute both/table and chair set up. My dog who is very anxious was calm and relaxed here. Super close to great food, shopping and the beach in Carlsbad Village.

right now they are under construction so you have to park a little bit far away from the hotel. The main office staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable for us and our dogs. Just a few sketchy people wandering around, felt a little uncomfortable to walk outside at night.
