  [Translated from French] Room on ground floor, convenient and accessible from outside. Friendly staff. Pleasant, quiet exterior. Price was right.

  Room not so great!

  The check-in process was fine. When we opened the door to our room - it smelled like nicotine. I went to the front desk and explained about the smell and the person immediately gave us another room. She then went with me to check out the smell in the room I first had and then we went to the room we were moved to and they both smelled the same. She said it must be the cleaning products that were used. We decided to just stay because we had traveled over nine hours at that point. Upon settling in - the light on the main wall wasn't working and we discovered that the electrical cord had been cut. The bathtub had tried soap on the edge and the alarm clock wasn't working. A suggestion would be for them to check the room out after they have been cleaned so see if it was done correctly. We decided we would not stay in a Red Roof Inn again.

  Ok for an overnight

  clean and well maintained. only issues were that they said 1st floor, and we got 2nd and the cable reception was so bad we couldn’t watch it or have it playing to drown out outside noises.
  Not too many dog friendly options around in the area to do something with him and did not want to leave the dog alone in the room.

  Dog hated it

  Fireworks store across the street and was setting off boomers so dog was shaking half the night. Renovation to room was a start, but still smells of urine when you open. The dog and us waited 20 minutes for someone to come to the office at 4:30pm. Wouldn’t return here.

  Overnight stop

  Great place for us to stop as we were passing through the area with our dog. Good place to walk the dog and liked that there was no carpet in the rooms meant for dogs. Mattress and pillows could have used replacing. The room was clean and the location was great just off the interstate.

  I’ll stay again!

  The room was very nice and clean. They’ve taken the time to update an older motel. Much better than expected for the price point. I felt safe and the parking lot was well lit for walking the dog before bed. Ruby Tuesdays & McDonalds were walking distance. Coffee in the room and also at the reservation desk. Perfect place to recharge on the way to Florida!

  Only issue was it smelled like cigarettes.

  Good location to 95. Property well lit. Basic room with minimal amenities which is all we wanted and price reflected. Only issue was my pillow smelled like cigarette smoke.

  Great for the night

  We need a clean cheap place to just spend the night and this was a perfect match. Lots of green space to walk your dog and everyone made us and our dog feel welcome. I would stay there again.

  Great for the price

  Old facility, but very adequate. Room was clean and no carpet made it great for pets. Also, without carpet, it would not trap odor from pets. Our pet liked the place too.

  Perfect

  We stopped in Walterboro for one night while driving to Florida. The room was freshly renovated: no more carpet! The staff is super friendly. There is a large grassy area just next to the hotel. Large parking too.
  Thank you Red Roof for another excellent pet friendly location!

  Front Desk Personnel

  The blond woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. She made sure I got a first floor room for my 11 year old Sheltie who is having trouble with stairs. She came down to the room later to make sure everything was good with the room.

  Not impressed

  No dogs allowed in lobby. First room didn't need a key to get in, so couldn't leave dogs in as I went to get bags out of car. Switched rooms. Rain caused flooded parking lot (not their fault?) but difficulty in finding grass for dog's business. Request room with window to outside.

  My opinion; This place is okay for an overnight stop. It was clean and everything worked. Very unfriendly.

  Downhill from the last time we stayed

  Tub didn’t drain. Lock did not work with multiple changes of swipe keys. Told maintenance would not be able to fix until next day. Room clean

  Very nice staff. No charge for dogs. Which was great. Room is bare minimum. Bed was not great. Older building. Acceptable place to walk dogs.

  Served us well

  First time we stayed here. Clean but not fancy. Very dog friendly. No carpeting to worry about We liked that we could park right outside our door. Great dog walking area. Nice breakfast. Twenty four hour coffee and tea. Very reasonable rates.

  Great Hotel

  The hotel is amazing! They are very accommodating. There are plenty of places to walk your dog. The rooms are very clean and spacious. They also now have a wonderful breakfast which is hard to find at most RedRoof Hotels. The staff/management/owners are pleasant and very helpful. I have stayed here several times and will stay again.

  Fix what’s broken

  This facility is bare bones which doesn’t bother us because it is clean and comfortable. We were in same room 2 months ago and I’ve bucket and hair dryer were broken. I reported it. Now 2 months later we end up back in room with a still broken ice bucket and hair dryer!

  Wish I wouldn’t have been fooled by the “great” reviews.... this place was beyond disgusting, even for a dogs standards... spend the extra money and go to the Marriott...

  Good Overnight Highway Stop

  Pulled off of the highway with my two black lab mixes at 12:30 am with no reservation and the front desk was very helpful and friendly in getting me a room quickly. The room was fine, smelled like you would expect from a hotel that doesn’t charge to bring a dog but was clean and served its purpose in getting a good nights sleep before hitting the road again.
