I booked this place for my son's birthday. It seemed perfect, it was big enough for my wife and I along with my son and his girlfriend plus my daughter, her fiance and my granddaughter. I could also bring my little Boston terrier/Chihuahua Kassee. I booked on VRBO on Wednesday at 11:55 am I received my invoice at 12:55 pm from Dap Props LLC. Which I paid at 6:47 pm. My daughter arrived to the property before me and called to inform me that someone was already in the house.
When I called customer support I was told that they had not received payment as of Thursday night so the listing was not taken down and someone rented it through Airbnb. After 3 calls with a very rude customer service rep I finally got them to agree to a full refund. First they wanted me to book at another one of their properties an hour and a half away and a refund of $100 for my troubles. What a joke, even though I have my receipt for payment on Wednesday she insisted they hadn't received it Thursday night.
Needless to say my son's birthday was completely ruined. Because very little is available to book at 7pm on a Friday night, I'm laying here at the Motel 6 writing this review. Which by the way has a very courteous staff, and surprisingly nice rooms. Although it's not a 4 bedroom house. And since I had to rent 2 rooms it cost me more than the property. They did email me a $150 voucher for my net stay at any of their properties, like I'd ever make that mistake again.
