Check-in was awful, the front desk could barely give us the time of day. The room was disgusting, run down, and dirty and we ran the shower for ten minutes with barely lukewarm water. They may take dogs but it is definitely not dog friendly. No place for them to do business and there was really no place to walk them.

There was no designated “grass” spot to take your dogs out. There was a small mulch spot that had poop bags and a garbage can in the back of the hotel by the large bus parking. If you walked the dogs around the building to try to go, they had the option of lifting their legs on flowering bushes with thorns. My poor puppy held it. Not even a dog water dish to be found or a treat handed out. Definitely not “dog friendly” in my eyes. The dog friendly beach in the area was AMAZING! I definitely suggest that!!!

We made a last minute decision to stay and had to scramble to find a place that would let Ruthie stay. From booking online to checking out everything was a really good experience. We had a fast check-in and the room was bigger than I expected. I was worried about being on the second floor but Ruthie did very well in the elevator. We will definitely consider staying again in the future.

I was a little worried as I had booked my reservation before some of the bad reviews came through. I must say we had a very pleasant trip. This hotel was one of the cheapest in the area at the time with no pet fee. Was it immaculate, updated, and pristine... nah. Was it worth the money spent, yes. You get what you pay for and its not a 5 star resort, its a pet friendly chain hotel.. The room was fairly clean, the carpet had two stains on it but the room smelled clean. The AC worked great, there was hot water and a working fridge. TV also worked. We were on the fourth floor, didn't look like a crime scene or horror film. The hotel didn't smell bad. While you are there house keeping doesn't come in to the room, but that was fine, we are tidy and took our trash down to the dumpster ourselves. You can ask for a vacuum if you need to touch up the floors. The bed was comfy and the sheets were clean. If I had a complaint about the bed, the "blanket" was no more than a sheet and I prefer heavy comforters. The floor was fairly quiet aside from one night someone was yelling and slamming doors, but its a public hotel on a weekend so that was expected. There is no real dog potty area, but there are areas to let them walk and potty. Its close to the dog beach and Pier park has several dog friendly shops and restaurants. (About 5 min away). I would definitely book again, it served its purpose as a place to sleep and shower after spending all day out and about.

I get it that it’s dog friendly but this place was beyond filthy. I wanted to put shoes on my dogs it was so dirty. Sheets were stained. Towels had hairballs on them. I had to ask the front desk for a broom and dustpan. Do yourself a favor and find another place!!

I debated on rather to give this hotel a 1 or a 2, but looking at all the factors it really is a 1.
As far as dog friendly the staff did seem happy to meet my dog. Unfortunately, I dealt with what many other have when it comes to my dog. No place for the bathroom and sand spurs everywhere. No dog treats or bowls like at some other PCB hotels. No doggie bags available even though I brought my own. For the human side the staff was very friendly when they were sitting just outside taking a smoke break, which was pretty often. If you catch them behind the counter tho they are hostile and unwilling to help. I had to get the room keys programmed twice and never a sorry about that or further look into it. I just said what room I was in and they programmed the card, very unsafe. The hotel smelled like wet carpet and due to covid they won’t enter your rooms, so you have to find an employee to exchange towels. The room had dog hair in it before we got there and we found chocolate candy all over the floor. The pool is tiny and two families always kept it crowded. It’s pretty far from the main areas and not that great of a value. They beds were very comfortable, and there is no pet fee were the only positives. - JoshuaMay 24, 2021House cleaning
They didn’t do a very good job cleaning the rooms and there wasn’t many places for our dog to use the restroom. We had to go through some terrain to get to a clean spot!

we booked then read the reviews and were horrified but we decided to go anyway with our own supplies and to our amazement it was not at all what the negative reviews we read said. our room was very clean top to bottom staff was very friendly and were asking constantly did we need anything. i would definitely stay again.

We did not enjoy our stay. There was horrible service at the front desk. The associates were rude. Our keys didn’t work so we had to go back down and I waited for about 10 minutes because no one was at the front desk. Our bathroom had rust and possible mold. It just had a very run down kinda vibe and it had an unpleasant smell. Literally the only plus was that it’s dog friendly. I do not recommend.

The staff was very nice but there were a few issues. First, when we called they said the rooms would be wood/laminate flooring. Our room had carpet but in bathroom. When I went to desk to ask for one of those rooms they said they did not have them. I was confused because the pictures showed them. Later when I was at the pool a rooms curtain was open and they had the wood floors!!! I was very sad about that. Also, there was not really a good area for my dogs to go potty. And the areas they could go was so much dog poop. If you go be sure to get the room with “wood”. It was a very close drive to the dog beach #57 about 5 min. So that was nice. :)
Lastly, they had signs that people had to wear masks but half of the people were not. - RobertMar 19, 2020No place to go
While the staff was very accommodating, there is a serious lack of bathroom spots for the dogs. One of mine ended up getting her front paws full of sand spurs. The designated poop spot had an overflowing trash receptacle and no bags in the dispenser.

Me, my husband and our puppy stayed here for just a weekend trip. We arrived to our room late on Friday night, the room looked like it had not been cleaned properly. Dirty mirrors and lamp shades. The room had a weird smell and the sheets had stains. The smoke alarms looked like they hand been yanked out of the ceiling. The staff were really friendly and polite. We called down on Saturday morning and they had someone come up while we were gone for the day and fresh up the room and sheets. It was better when we got back but still had the weird smell. There also wasn’t a lot of space to walk your dog. I wouldn’t stay here and again but if you are looking for a cheap place just to lay your head down at night and don’t really care about cleanliness, then this is the place for you.
