    Nice Getaway

I booked a room at the Mountain Goat Lodge when I decided on a last-minute trip to Salida to get my mountain fix. The Lodge is a bit out of town and offers outstanding accommodations. Though I travel with my dog, I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness. I don't like a room that smells like dogs, especially those that have remnants of a previous occupant's accident. This place was spotless along with very nice accommodations. I loved the place and will definitely return.

    Highly recommended!

Our family travelled to the area to go white water rafting. The lodge is in a beautiful area and has comfortable accommodations. What was incredible was how Gina took care of us. Our 3 year old lab, Toby, was missing us while we were rafting, and Gina made sure Toby had water, walked him in the off leash area and gave him some TLC. Even one of the guests visited Toby with his dog! We were so grateful he was well taken care of! We loved our spacious room and Gina's breakfast was amazing. The kids loved the goats and are asking when we can go back!

    A Hound's Haven

Mountain Goat Lodge proved to be more than they could possibly advertise. My wife and I recently stayed at the b & b with our dog, Cletus. Though she and I were excited about the views from our room, the freshly made food, and the espresso machine, our dog seemed to be an even bigger fan of the amenities that Mountain Goat Lodge had to offer. The fenced-in, off-leash, dog area provided our hound with an ideal area for sniffing. He didn't want to leave and neither did we. We cannot wait to return!

    The Best B&B EVER!

My husband and I recently traveled to Salida for a relaxing weekend to celebrate his Bday. I was excited to find Mountain Goat online and even more excited to see it's dog friendly (our 12 yr old lab/hound travels everywhere with us). The website said they are dog friendly but that's an understatement!! Gina has a fenced i off-leash area, she provides a bed, water bowel and treats in each of the rooms and is totally cool with the dogs being in the main part of the house (they have to behave of course). Beyond how dog friendly this place is it was also the most comfortable B&B - great beds, amazing views, very clean, complimentary snacks, and a delicious homemade breakfast made by Gina herself. We really couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! It was so nice to have our expectations be exceeded for once!! We will most certainly stay with Gina, her dogs, goats llama, chickens and ducks again!

    fabulous

We have stayed at the Mountain Goat B&B three times and will be coming back. The B&B is warm, friendly, well cared for and happily dog friendly. Goat's milk, yogurt, cheese are all delicious and there freshly baked goodies waiting for you. Will not disappoint.

Sets a new standard in "pet friendly"

Check in: "Would your dog like a treat? A bed? A sheet to cover the bed so he can get up in bed with you?" Amazing. Pumba wandered around the lodge with the other dogs, greeted the goats, enjoyed the off-leash area, hung out on the balconies, enjoyed his rawhide treat... I've never seen a bed and breakfast that catered to dogs so well.

Oh - it was pretty good for us too! We felt pampered and taken care of, and the place is amazing.

You and your dog will love it!

    Relaxing and Great

The room was clean and comfortable and I really enjoyed the food. They even offered goat milk, although I didn't try any. There are plenty of activities nearby including skiing, hiking, fishing, snow shoeing, etc. Their pet accommodations were also impressive and they gave a dog bed and treats bag.
