Description
At 10,000 feet above sea level, Cripple Creek / Colorado Springs West KOA is one of the highest campgrounds in the world. In the Colorado high country here, it is always cool and never humid (normal mid-June to mid-August highs 70-80, normal lows 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit). The campground has 50 amp service, and can accommodate rigs up to 70 feet in spacious pull thru sites. Tent campers can choose between wilderness sites in the aspen trees or deluxe sites with a ramada cover, electricity and water. The campground has ten camping cabins and two camping lodges as well. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, hot tub, game room, propane and firewood (for a fee), Kamping Kitchen, and banana bike rentals. They also offer a pancake breakfast service on Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day for an additional charge.
