    Never again

I chose this place because of the stellar reviews on both BringFido and TripAdvisor. we were looking for a go to place for us and our fur baby.

The reviews and my experience could not be more opposing to each other. I got there for a long weekend and there was nobody on site- we had to call to get instructions on how to get in to our room, WiFi password etc. why wasn’t this info related to us beforehand? driving a long way to an abandoned house was discouraging. we were not greeted with any form of hospitality AT ALL.

our room was tiny, it’s a refurbished garage. I understand that it’s the beginning of the season but the room had not been vacuumed for our stay , there was dust and mounds of dog hair flowing from under furniture all weekend, the rug had not been vacuumed at all ( dog hair all over) dirty handprints on doors and splashes of something on walls In bathroom and in various areas in room.

the shower stall was awful , I’m not a big person but I could barely move in there! I’m sure this place could be ok- not great but decent but the owners obviously put no thought into trying.

For the price I urge ppl to seek a better place to stay!

We spent the last week with our two Goldens. The owner Rick was most accommodating and went out of his way to assure we and dogs were comfortable. Great location and area to walk dogs right outside our door. We will definitely return.

Dog and Guest Friendly Paradise by the Sea!

I've stayed at the Dolphin Den for 8 years and always find it refreshing to see mans' best friend and guests vacationing with each other. I have seen many loving pets including beagles, mixed breeds (many from shelters), golden retrievers and of course the wonderful Dolphin Den mascot "Snickers"...a chocolate lab adopted from a Tennessee shelter. Snickers is a sweet tail wagging greeter and loves everyone at this hotel. The grounds at the Dolphin Den are pristine, well maintained and guest service coordinator Leanne is extremely pleasant. A definite 5 bone rating; you simply cannot go wrong and I look forward to returning again and again!

    Will be back!

On our way home from a terrible not-so friendly campsite in Waterford Maine, we decided to get a hotel in Ogunguit. I normally do not sleep ANYWHERE without reading multiple reviews and doing some serious research ! As this was a last minute one night stay, and we had our dog with us, we realized we couldn't be picky. We called up the Dolphin Den and booked a night with our pup with no hassle.

Once we got there, we were greeted by the friendliest young woman and immediately felt welcome. The yard was filled with bright green grass and beautiful flowers. There was a communal fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs and umbrella'd patio tables. Did I mention the Dog Park behind the cottages ? YUP! My dog was in heaven! Both he and I made friends in just one night’s stay!

Now, on to the inside! Most importantly, the room was spotless. The bed was crisp and comfortable, toilet and shower were maintained very well and there was a bone awaiting my dog as soon as we got there!

This was my first time staying in Ogunquit and at a pet friendly Inn. I couldn't have been more happy to find this gem and to have met the owners.

We will definitely be back ! Thank you for the hospitality!

Very Great place to be : doggie town !

We had an amazing time at Dolphin Den. Pets are very welcome, which it's pretty uncommon around Ogunquit. We loved the fact that the pet fee is going to a non profit organisation who takes care of hospitals service dogs. Otherwise, speaking in a human point of view, the welcome was really warm, everyone was very friendly. The room was very comfortable and the courtyard very nice and practical. Thanks for the stay!
