I found changing tides on a spontaneous trip over Christmas. It was a dog lovers paradise. I felt so at home and so did my Bossy Terror. She always goes out during the night and it was so safe. The cabin area is all fenced in. The owner is amazing. It's not a new place with fancy updates in any way. It is homey and cozy. It is right on the canal with numerous sitting areas. I can't wait to return.

    Not what we envisioned

The ONLY good thing here is it is dog friendly. I feel compelled to let others know, there are no barriers along the seawall, if you are a worrier like me, it's very disturbing. J/S

    Needed Get Away

Our cabin had everything we needed for us and our 2 fur babies especially during this time of social distancing. The cabin areas were fenced off so if you knew your dogs would behave, you could leave off leash. Our kids are Chihuahuas soooo LOL Also right next to a dog walk area and close to Joh’s Pass and beach access. would stay again.

    3 happy dogs

My 3 little dogs and I stayed at these cottages for 2 weeks. The freedom given to the pets, in the enclosed property was great, because they didn't have to be on their leashes there. The cottages were comfortable and clean. The people staying there were friendly and the owner, Kathy, was a complete joy to be around. The beach is about 2 blks away and so is John's Pass; one of my favorite places to walk around and shop and eat. Also dog friendly.

What a great place to relax and unwind

I stayed at Changing Tides with my BJ (terrier mix). We stayed in the efficiency. It was absolute heaven. I could see the water from the room, it was quiet even though there were other dogs and I have to say they keep it extremely clean, better than some high priced hotels I've been. If you have a dog and you want a great place to stay, stay here and take them to Fort Desoto dog beach. I will go back again for sure. Thank you Kathy and Robin!
