Dogs are allowed at Boyd's Key West Campground, but they must be kept on a leash and under owner's control when outside your vehicle. No aggressive pets or any that have previously bitten or attacked people or pets are allowed. Additionally, breeds of dogs which are by nature, history, or perception aggressive, such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman Pincers, Chows, German Shepherds, and Wolf Hybrids, are not permitted. Owners must pick up after their pets. Pets are not allowed in the pool area or any park building, including restrooms and showers. Owners are responsible for their pet's behavior. If you leave, please take your pets with you. Pets may not be left unattended. If your pet is creating a problem, the management will require that the owner take appropriate action. Very nice place. However, the spaces are very small and close to each other. Bring earplugs; the roosters howl all night without stopping, which is truly unpleasant. Nevertheless, it is an amazing campground, very dog-friendly, and the bathrooms are super clean and the view of the ocean is beautiful.
We were excited to book our stay knowing their pet friendly until I noticed that they are pet selective. Discrimination against breeds that are known to be used frequently as family pets and service animals is not a place I want to stay. Hopefully they will catch up with the times and allow ALL well behaved dogs regardless of breed.
So impressed with thee cleanliness and care taken at Boyd’s. We have been staying at a waterfront tent site and love it. The sites are a little close together, but not too close. Nice pool area, SUP and kayak rentals available. The staff is so friendly and dogs are everywhere! We will definitely stay again.
