  Nice stay

  Has no carpet in rooms and a designated dog area, but only artificial grass. Very friendly and accepting of pets. Rooms are a throwback to the 60’s, cute and comfortable but not luxurious by any means. Good food truck comes from 5-9pm and serves wings and tater tots, Asian dumplings, and more. We didn’t get to try the oatmeal bar. Beer and wine offered in their bar: 1 free drink per adult. We’ll be back. A small fridge in the regular queen room. They offer a room with “kitchenette” that has fridge, sink, 2 burner cooktop and microwave but no coffee maker. The office is open 24/7 and we just asked to be able to get coffee early and they were very accommodating. We will stay there again!

  Cute and Fun

  This place was fun and artsy but beware if you’re a light sleeper. The traffic from the freeway was so loud. I could still hear the traffic over the sound app I had running on my phone with it turned all the way up. The window unit helped drown out the noise when it was running though. Thank God for that. There was also no hot water. It was just barely warm and a tease the whole time because I kept waiting for it to get hot but it never did. I loved the artwork in the rooms and around the property. It’s a fun place. They had live music by the pool and I think the food truck that was there is regularly there, if not always. The food was really good! The oatmeal in the morning was OK. There was a small patch of turf by the front entrance to walk your dog on to potty but also a sidewalk in front of the property if you don’t mind walking outside the property along a busy road.

  Stayed one night and thought it was good value. Laundry room, gym, heated outdoor pool, food truck on site. Breakfast included. Parking directly in front of our room. Kitchenette. Would stay again if I'm in Tucson.

  Another quaint motel style room that was exceptionally clean and well suited for stay with pet(s). Can be noisy with thin walls. Provided complimentary drink on arrival and lovely vegan continental spread in morning. Didn’t have chance to try pool or ride the bikes. When out on pet walk enjoyed reading and finding expressions painted on site.

  Right off freeway

  When we first saw this hotel, we were a little hesitant. It turned out to be a really nice place. Designed pretty much in the 50's, extremely clean. The room had a king bed, a kitchenette with a cute red refrigerator, a red microwave oven, a two burner hotplate, with pans. Had some dishes, etc. The office had a bar that served beer and wine. Breakfast was oatmeal with many toppings. There's an area with a couch, and an area with tables and chairs. Would definitely stay here again.

  This hotel/motel is conveniently located in South Tucson. There is art and murals everywhere. My dog was comfortable and enjoyed her stay. Will return again.

  This hotel never disappoints!

  This was our second stay at Hotel McCoy and each time we have greatly enjoyed it there. It really is a top notch hotel and it is so wonderfully dog friendly. The staff always treat our dogs so sweetly. The service is great, the price affordable, it’s always clean and tidy, and it’s such a fun artistic, colorful aesthetic. We love the vibe there.

  Absolute great value in great location. Only reason 4 not 5 bones is you do have to walk a ways on sketchy sidewalk to find a good spot for big dogs to get some exercise and poop. But it's a nice trail that goes as long as you like.

  The BEST hotel

  The most iconic, adorable hotel you will EVER stay at. Local art, wine and beer, heated saltwater pool. Dogs were loved on by the staff and given treats. Rooms are so clean. 10/10 recommend! Best place for dogs and humans!

  Very fun throwback rejuvenated with great murals, clean rooms, good small menu, and artistic work per room. It’s not about my dog, she was fine. Old drive in motel remodeled and funky. Close to 10. Highly recommend this throwback. I wanted to stay longer!!

  Super fun place!

  This place was really charming with lots of fun touches. Basic rooms but very comfortable with everything you need, a great TV, a nice kitchenette and it was convenient to park car just outside your room. Very pet friendly, and although the doggy grass patch was fairly small, it was adequate for small dogs, and there was a nice park a couple miles away to give them more of a walk. LOVED the oatmeal bar in the morning. Available all morning, and all kinds of healthy toppings. This place is SO worth a stay. Super friendly staff and fun place.

  if you are staying in Tucson, this is the place to stay! At the price point it’s at, they provide so many amenities and are pet friendly (no pet fee or weight limit!). They give you a free drink chip when you check in to use at their bar. They carry local brands and are very sustainability and environmentally conscious, all while being overall just such a cute place! They truly go above and beyond with all of the details they put into your stay. The vibes, the staff, the room, everything is 10/10!

  Great little retro hotel. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 bones is that their isn’t much space for walking dogs. Other than that it’s great. It’s been a long time since I had a pop tart for breakfast!

  Great potential, but horrible execution

  The art as this place is awesome & it has a cool vibe, but that’s it. The pet relief area was a small turf area that smelt HORRID. The bed was rock hard, a dirty diaper was left in the trash bin, and a Hershey’s kiss was on the floor under the bed (luckily I saw it before my dog got to it). Very disappointed with our stay.

  Wonderful place to stay

  Hotel McCoy far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean & the floors pet friendly. The entire place is! We were traveling with my mom & her dogs as well as our own pups. The front desk put us in rooms next door to each other & were able to accommodate her checking in before we arrived. They have a great text messaging system as well. I will stay here every time I’m ever in Tucson.

  Unique Stay!

  This place is unique, fun, and definitely dog friendly! The room had everything we needed and was super clean. Loved the art and the chalkboard. The pet relief area is nice and very clean but fake grass, gravel, and cactus are difficult for my pups; they like a bush or two to go behind. A slight upgrade to this area and this is a 5 bones place for sure!

  Unique and comfortable

  This place is very unique due to the artsy and retro ambience. We stayed here one night on a cross country road trip with our dog. We ate at the food truck on the property and it was tasty. The bed was comfy. The oatmeal bar was fine although I would prefer to add my own accoutrements.

  Doesn't get much better.

  No pet fee, no issues, clean, inexpensive, vegan breakfast (!!!). I can't ask for more. I actually prefer the motel design (separate entrances for every room) over hotel when I have my two high energy dogs. The only drawback was the busy highway, but that's bc I'm spoiled by living in a very quiet place. Julian Wash Archeological Park was a perfect 3-minute drive to take the dogs out. No one was there and I could let them run a bit. Highly recommend.

  Would Stay Here Again

  From the warm welcome to the funky decor, this place is special. Its location makes it super easy to access but it’s the care and attention I appreciated. A pet station for Fido, a heated saltwater pool, a welcoming beverage, and a complimentary oatmeal bar to send us on our way the next morning. A highlight of our trip!

  Pros: near Interstate, walled, secure, nice pool and bar area. Cons: no real pet area (but, 10 min walk to a nice walk along a green space/park), very noisy a/c, wildly expensive vino at bar ($9 or so for a 4 oz plastic cup of house white - seriously?), breakfast pretty basic. Finally, the price is a bit of a stretch for pretty basic room (funky only goes so far).

  Loved the atmosphere and spirit of the motel (and yes, despite the name it is a Motel not a Hotel). However, they only had one pitiful little pet relief area and the water pressure in the shower was severely lacking.

  Love this place!

  This hotel has the best vibe! We loved it! They may not have super fancy things, but it was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. They are very dog friendly. The dog walking area is quite small, but my pup had no problems doing her business. For breakfast they had an oatmeal bar which I loved because I am gluten free. We will definitely stay here in the future.

  Artsy motel. Liked that the rooms had vinyl plank flooring and no carpeting. Good oatmeal breakfast bar. Complimentary drinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small dog rest area by the entrance. Right off the I-10 so easy to get to. Don't hear the road noise from your room.

  Great Hotel

  After a long drive in 115 degree weather it was great to get into a cool comfortable room. My dog and I crashed for the night early so I missed out on the inviting salt water pool. The murals and the art works in the room were done by talented local artists. The staff was so friendly too. If you have to stay in Tucson with your furry friend I highly recommend.

  Love the art work around the facility. Marley was especially happy with her treats in the middle of the night when she had to go poop. 💩 🦴 the patio area was so relaxing and inviting. The complimentary drinks were on point. Thank you for providing a clean, chic room for us

  There was a smell in the room and the shower tub was slippery but the place was spacious for dogs and gravel in the front for pet relief areas. Overall the stay was great and the rooms were cute.

  Fantastic Stay

  Our stay was wonderful. Everything was perfect, The common areas were welcoming and well maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful and our room was perfect, with all the kitchen amenities needed (fridge, microwave and hot plate), and an extremely comfortable King bed. Being able to accommodate our two medium sized dogs made our stay even better. We will be sure to visit again the next time we are in Tucson.

  My new favorite hotel!

  Stopped here for the night on my way back to Los Angeles, and had a blast! The concierge told me the entire hotel was basically a bar. They gave me a free drink token, and I enjoyed a nice beer by the pool with my dog. There was a singer/songwriter performing while I was there so that was nice way to relax after being on the road all day. There are a lot of cool murals all around the premises and it's fun to walk around (with your drink) and check them all out! They also give you tips on good local food, sights, and things to do. The room was cozy as well, with a nice comfortable bed.

  Great little trip with our puppy

  We stayed during fall break for 2 nights. No issues what so ever with our puppy being with us. They had disposal bags at the back and a grass carpet with bags at the front so plenty of places to take him for his needs. Hotel was nice too, loved all the art work.

  Fun Eclectic Stay

  Hotel McMoy is a really cute and eclectic hotel. The lobby staff were very friendly and welcoming to me and my pup. The hotel is clean, cute, quaint, with a great eclectic vibe. My room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the decor was a 60s modern style. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back next time I’m in town.

  Not really any place for dogs to relieve themselves

  I wouldn't stay here with my dog again mainly because there is just nothing but asphalt for them to relieve themselves on. It is off a busy highway, with no place to walk them off the property. They have about 20 sq ft of astroturf in the very front next to the hwy, which made my dog too nervous to even use it. The rooms are very quiet though, so if your dog likes to bark, that would be a plus.

  Unique and fun!

  This is a remodeled old motel, so it looks like a dive from the outside. However, it is VERY cool! Art all over the buildings that is fun to see and read. Completely remodeled rooms that are nicely decorated with mid-century modern furnishings and very clean. Small area for pets. We ordered our free breakfast the night before and they brought it to our room first thing in the morning - it was very good! Thank you BringFido, we would not have discovered this without your app and hope to be staying here again.

  Stay here! It is the REAL McCoy!!

  What a fabulous place, wonderful atmosphere, and incredibly rich environment!! We made the choice to stay here quite quickly on the road and booked through BringFido. We arrived less than 1/2 hour after online booking, to find they we already aware of our arrival! There was a DJ playing tunes by the pool, we were given 2 drink tokens to be used at the bar (featuring local beers and wines). Our roll was delightful and full of local art that could be purchased.

  The service was friendly and prompt. The place was SUPER CLEAN and they were following great COVID protocols.

  The ONLY place to stay in Tucson. We loved it!

  What a cool place! Lovely quiet rooms, super friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast brought to your room, free wine or beer the night we checked in, a shaded turf dog potty area with bags, and personality galore! The staff even recommended an amazing little takeout restaurant where we could get a healthy, gluten free and dairy free dinner. I would definitely stay here again!

  Fun Times in Tucson

  Living just up the road apiece, 3 1/2 hours away in Flagstaff, it was a last minute trip and just so much fun!
  The hotel staff is wonderful, the rooms are so fun and retro and they love having dogs there. I will stay there in the future for sure.

  SO CUTE!!! Super artsy and the decor was amazing. Clean and great service. They brought the complementary breakfast (oats and pop tarts and of course coffee) to our door and left it on the table outside to distance. Staff was kind and friendly to my Rott mix. Would definitely stay again!

  This hotel is has a very hip, modern style combined with a retro vibe. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and delivered everything we requested right to our door. The location right off of the highway was perfect for us as we stopped here for the night on a road trip. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through AZ with their dog (big or small) and I will be sure to stay here next time I stop in Tucson!

  Best Hotel in a Long Time!

  We have mostly stayed at the major chains when traveling with our dog. We decided to take a chance when we saw the great reviews for this place. It was fantastic! The staff is friendly, helpful and glad to be there. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I travel a tremendous amount as an airline pilot and wish every place I layover could be as great as Hotel McCoy:)

  I met some of the coolest people while staying here. The dog area is all on rocks, which was odd for my dogs who are used to grass. LUCKILY there is a very small area on fake grass that is gated. That was the best part of the whole area, which has cactus and poisonous plants in it, and is also the smoking section, for us.

  Best Hotel Ever!

  This little hotel is a real gem! Great staff and amazing hospitality...we stayed for an extended time while our apartment was remodeled. It’s close to the highway for easy access, but quiet and clean for a good nights rest. The pool is refreshing with a fireplace in the lounging area with plenty of extras for fun and relaxing (dogs are not allowed in that area of the hotel). However, nearby (about a half mile) there is a paved walking path that runs along the wash where we walked our pup daily. There is a small area up front by the entrance for your dog to relieve herself and on the way back to your room you could stop in the office to grab a “treat” dog biscuit. I highly recommend Hotel McCoy for your stay.

  Unique little place. Small but adequate room had everything we needed. Artsy murals and decor, spotlessly clean and GREAT bed. Hard floor and no carpet...
  great for pup. Only downside is no grass in sight...but hey, it is after all the desert. Easy on and off freeway. In a semi light industrial area but safe enough to head out for a walk. Tiny little pet relief area. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Other amenities not available due to COVID restrictions. Good value for the $$.

  Such A Great Vibe

  WE stayed here on our way to Mexico and it was so perfect we stayed an extra night. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is like hanging out at your local favorite bar. They have all kinds of evening events, incredible wines, fun games and Roku TVs so you can continue watching your fav Netflix or Hulu show instead of mindlessly flipping through channels. There are great public lands just a few miles away to let the dogs get their energy out. I can’t say enough about how great the place was, I will definitely stay there again next time I’m in town.

  This hotel was amazing. Their dog area was out front and only rocks but everything else about this hotel was great. They had complimentary breakfast and we were given two tokens to redeem free drinks from their bar. The room was renovated and very nice. Will defiantly be back!

  Gorgeous, Charming, And Friendly!

  The staff were welcoming and professional, and the rooms!? Oh my gosh! There’s such attention to detail with everything. They even provide dog treats! It was an absolute dream. I intend to go back solely to stay there longer. And it was so well priced! One thing is that there is a $100 hold placed on your card for a pet fee, but it’s refundable as long as your furry friends don’t cause any damage. 10/10 would stay again.
