Loved staying here as we moved out of house. It reminded of the way it used to be here. Sorta funky and lots of pine wood! Great location too - right across the street from a great park by Boulder Creek - a good place to walk your dog. 😉

Foot of the Mountain motel really is at the foot of the foothills. There is a beautiful park along the river right across the street and you can easily walk along the bike path to the Pearl street mall which is about a mile away. Our pup loved the big grassy area out back where she tried to meet some deer. There is breakfast at this motel with hot and cold cereal, muffins, bagels, juice and coffee. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is pretty run down and could use a little bit of a face lift. The floors are a little uneven and the furniture is old with awful mattresses and pillows. The heat was either too hot or blowing cold air no matter what we set the temperature to. It was hard to regulate the water in the shower, but there was plenty of hot water. Also, the WiFi was intermittent. If you don’t care so much about this stuff and you want a nice location this is your place.

Nice hostess, great yard out back and plenty of other options for walking your dog. The room was just a bit small and the bathroom was slightly claustrophobic, but very clean.

Location is great and service is solid. Breakfast is simple but good. For the price I would expect a little more cleanliness (lots of spiderwebs, peeling caulk and window covering, and prominent smudges on the ceiling). everything is a la carte which was off putting to me. a pet fee per night AND a pet cleaning fee? i has booked and was charged for a Queen room, but received a double. I tried to bring this to the attention of the attendant but he insisted it was a Queen. it most certainly was not. Overall a decent experience, but nothing exceptional.

My room was cozy and exceptionly clean. I received great internet service and was able to use my IPAD during my stay. Centrally located to shopping or hiking areas. I chose this property because it was dog friendly. The breakfast selection was great too. I will return.
