The staff is very nice and very accommodating. Nice location right on the river. The room was a little dated but very clean. A great place to stay with your pet in the Mystic area close to downtown and the marina. A+.

The Thames Inn was a good place to bring our Lab, but not if you’re looking for luxury. It was clean enough and the sunset view across the river to New London was terrific. I wouldn’t recommend it for people without dogs, but the price was great, the people were nice, and the location was excellent. There’s a good pasta restaurant half a block away with excellent takeout service.

Booked at last minute. Needed overnight accommodations with our pup on way home from Maine.
Inn is dated, but clean, and manager was very friendly. If you’re looking for an overnight stay that you don’t need to pay an arm and a leg, this is a no-frills clean place to stay. - MarciaSep 20, 2022On the water
This is an old school mom-and-pop motel. The room was sparkling clean, with fresh flowers! Very warm friendly staff too.

Dogs are invited and love it here. We stayed at Thames River Inn Groton Ct 8/29/22. Wayne couldn’t have been nicer. Very clean. Great big tv. Great value. Not your typical chain motel but it’s nice to give a small business our support. 5 bones.

Place is old and outdated, but very clean and friendly. Staff was wonderful and our dogs enjoyed it.

Very dog friendly hotel in a nice location with fantastic water and sunset views across to New London. The place is a bit weathered and needs some maintenance and repairs but was clean and comfortable. The guy who checked us in was friendly and nice. We would stay there again.

Great little place with beautiful views. Clean rooms that have been recently renovated. We only stayed a night; we were just going to a show at casino. But would definitely stay again and longer if situation called for it. Wayne is awesome. Thanks for everything!

Owner was very friendly and made the check-in process a breeze. My dog enjoyed watching the boats on the marina. Suites were spacious, but the kitchen did not have basic essentials apart from some pots and pans, so bring your own cups and utensils!

This place was very accommodating to our 90lb German shepherd. Everyone loved him. The owner/manager was delighted by him and let him in the office like he was another guest. There were several other dogs there as well. It is hard to find lodging for large dogs. We will definitely be going back here again.
