Amazing little inn in the heart of Charleston. Very dog friendly, park around the corner. No elevator so make sure your pet can do stairs.

The inn was delightful and great location for walking to everything. The staff could not have been kinder and more efficient. The experience with our dog was 100% satisfactory.

Wonderful, friendly service from Tyler and Parker. Great location, charming decoration, and full breakfast included. Recommend--just call to check on available rooms--each is different. Disappointed my friend and I booked together but were in different buildings. My room in the carriage house was larger and brighter. Her room in main house was small and dark, on 3rd floor (no elevator), bed was uncomfortable. Parking reasonable at $7.50 a night.

We stayed at the Barksdale for a 5-night family Thanksgiving outing and could not have been more pleased. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. We will definitely use this hotel again when in Charleston SC.

Very friendly staff. Nice comfortable room in heart of downtown (although needs a bit of updating which the staff said they were working on). Good little breakfast menu prepared by staff. All day granola bars and water available. Halls were a bit echoing so I wasn’t able to leave pet, she’s a barker, even though they said it was okay. In walking distance of historic district and market. Found a carriage tour that I could take my pooch which was great.

A nice spot right in the heart of the city and alongside The College of Charleston’s athletic building. We had room #9 with two queens and plenty of room for our family and German Shepard. Even being on the third floor it was no issue with the dog. Staff is very friendly, the breakfast quiche with fresh fruit was mighty tasty. Highly recommend this place for you and your pet.
