  Great stay!

  Columbia is a cute little city and this hotel had great a great location to downtown. The staff was very accommodating to both us and our pet. We’ll definitely stay again if we need a room overnight when traveling.

  Nice stay

  The hotel is very nice and the room was clean. However, there are very limited places for dogs to relieve themselves. My dog was frantically looking for places to do his business and he needs grass and there are a very few, tiny grassy areas. I would not recommend this hotel for people with dogs. Also, you have to pay for parking. $14 if you park in the garage behind the hotel and $22 for valet parking. This is not mentioned in the hotel description.

  Great location, excellent experience

  Aloft Columbia Downtown, SC. Excellent facilities, super clean, centric location, superb parking valet and affordable. Front desk highly competitive, and friendly. Thanks to Zane and his staff.

  Downtown disappointing

  We like staying at Aloft hotels. We were disappointed to find there was no free parking and no free breakfast. There was also no appropriate place outside for dog to go.

  Aloft Downtown Columbia SC was a very nice upscale hotel which welcomed our two small dogs.

  Very comfortable and pet friendly

  The hotel is pet friendly, no fee, no fuss. The staff is great and the neighborhood is walkable. We enjoyed a late lunch at Grill Mark: good food and happy people.

  Great dog-friendly location!

  This hotel was great! Nice, new, and modern feel. Great location with lots of dinner options in walking distance and parks close by. Not much space for potty breaks, but enough to get the job done. Our room was kind of small, but overall nice. Recommend this hotel!

  Lively atmosphere dogs will love

  First the PROS: excellent and responsive staff. Lively evening scene (but wholesome) in the lobby area. Attentive and helpful valet. Quiet city neighborhood. And in the morning: A truly great kitchen for your carry-away breakfasts (or grab and eat lobby-side or in one of 2 beautiful semi-outdoor areas), which are made-to-order.
  CONS: the entire floor where our room was located smelled terrible. Really, gross, actually, but not the room. The room (chic room design!) had a very noisy lav barn door but heavy and loud enough to wake up everyone sleeping). It also looked MOSTLY cleaned, but maybe not religiously. Finally, there was a noise problem due to extraordinarily thin walls (and floors, and ceilings) to the point where we could hear quiet conversations taking place in the bathrooms of nearby guests. I'd come again, but I'd come prepared for the smells and the sounds.

  Fine place for pups

  Downtown location, parking not included so a bit pricey. Capitol is just down the street & makes for pleasant walk. A drink in the lobby included a visiting Australian Shepherd so very pleasant for all concerned.. Pup gave 5 paws up but owner dinged a bone for pricier accommodation. Still, a fine choice.

  Cute hotel

  Like other Alofts, this hotel is playful, and my dog loved the milk bones and frisbee that he got. It was also clean, had very friendly staff, and it was in a central location with restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

  Good Location / Very Friendly

  We brought our 18 week old puppy. This was his first hotel stay. They were very accommodating to put us in a quiet corner and they were very friendly. Also nearby were several great restaurants outside seating that allow dogs. In fact the taco restaurant attached to the hotel was very dog friendly.
