    The Stowehof

    The Stowehof allows two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $25 per pet, per night. Guests traveling with dogs will be assigned to rooms on the ground floor. Petite Lodge Rooms are not dog friendly. Dogs may be left in the room unattended. Treats and waste bags are available. There is a grassy area for pet relief on the property. Cats are not permitted.

    Surrounded by 26 acres and featuring sweeping mountain vistas and an unforgettable ambiance, The Stowehof offers an experience unlike any other in Vermont. The iconic architecture and expansive grounds provide the perfect setting for easy conviviality. Play cards in one of their game nooks, shoot pool with friends, read a book by one of several fireplaces in the expansive Lounge, roast marshmallows at the fire pit, play tennis, stroll through the rolling meadows, and relax by the pool in the summer. Breakfast is offered daily in their mountain-view room, and in the evenings the bar offers a casual Vermont-Bavarian menu featuring locally sourced foods, beers and spirits. Guests can check-in anytime after 4:00 pm and are requested to check-out by 11:00 am. Dogs are also welcome. Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 25 can only check in with a parent or official guardian who is also staying in the unit. Please note if the reservation is canceled, the total amount plus all fees (including the service charge and taxes) are non-refundable.

      great get away!

      The Stowehof Inn is an escape from the ordinary and a wonderful destination to bring your pups along too. We travel with newfoundlands and found the rooms are very spacious and inviting for our 4 legged family. Even during these trying times it was a breath of fresh air away from the ordinary.

      Super Dog Friendly!

      Muck loved the Stowehof! Lots of acreages to explore including a pond. Dog-friendly (off leash) trails right next door (Wiessner Woods). Muck had access to all of the hotel except the restaurants. Quiet dogs are allowed to stay in the hotel rooms alone.

    Safe Stay: The Stowehof has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Hand sanitizer is provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
