  Amazing spot

  We were so pleasantly surprised with this inn! Everything was dog themed and it was SO CLEAN and updated!! Breakfast was great, we loved the 24/7 coffee tea hot cocoa machine, and the rooftop patio had such a beautiful sunset view! Great location too!! Highly recommend!!

  Decided to go on a road trip with my dog. The room we were in was spacious for the two of house. The staff, I met, was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again even without a dog.

  Wonderful time in Newport

  We and our fury boys had a wonderful time staying at Paws on Pelham. It is such a cute B&B with friendly staff. The day before our arrival we were contacted via text inquiring about our arrival time and if we had any food allergies/restrictions. Our room was ready upon arrival. The interior has pets on its wallpaper as does the downstairs eating area (paws not allowed). Antonio suggested a wonderful restaurant for dinner at the harbor which was a short walk from the B&B. Our breakfast was very good - the feature was an egg sandwich with asparagus, prosciutto, and cheese. They also had cinnamon buns, muffins, yogurt, and fresh fruit. When we visit Newport again we will stay here again!

  We so enjoyed your place & what a great location! Walked to town & close to park!! Our golden retriever loved it as well!! thank you! Also loved the breakfast; make sure you go down stairs where the adorable cafe is! Great coffee machine as well! Everything was great!

  Wonderful Experience

  Great location. Contemporary bathroom and cute decor. It was all about the dog and we had a great time. People were so nice and very helpful. Highly recommend with or without a pup!

  Amazing stay!!

  I can't wait to return to this wonderful B&B!! So dog friendly. Although my Dallas didn't enjoy the built-in dog house in our room, we felt so comfortable in a place that loves dogs. There is a park 1/2 block away for walks with lots of green and pathways. Parking was 1/2 block down the street but convenient and instructions were clear. Breakfast for us was across the street at another B&B. Excellent service, Lisa our hostess was so welcoming and helped us find the best plan for our Breakers visit. End of the day reading on the PoP porch, wish we had brought a bottle of wine. All in all, I can't wait to have another opportunity to stay at this inn. Thank you so much!!!

  Wonderful inn

  We loved everything about our stay at Pelham. The staff was welcoming. The room was very nice and clean. Couldn't beat the location. It was a perfect mix for both the pups and the parents. I would stay again. If you have 2 large dogs, room 1 had enough room. Breakfast was sit down at sister locations and very yummy. Large park a block away, community very dog friendly.

  Perfect vacation spot with a dog!

  The inn was lovely. Very comfortable, clean, staff was outstanding. We had a delicious breakfast both days we were there and staff was very accommodating if we wanted to eat in or outside and offered to bring our breakfast to us since the dog couldn’t go into the cafe. The room we stayed in was spacious and quiet. There is nothing bad I can say about our visit. I highly recommend it if traveling with your dog 🐶

  My family and I stayed in rooms on the second floor. They were clean with such charm. I would stay here even if we didn't have the dogs. The staff were more than happy to help you with any of your needs. The morning breakfasts were amazing. We thought it would be more of a grab and go but were pleasantly surprised when we were treated to a full sit down hot breakfast. Over the weekend we were given breakfast in the dining area located in the basement at Paws at Pelham.

  During the weekdays we crossed the street to the Serenity Inn for dining. They have a 24/7 access coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine that we used frequently. I loved the water bottle filler, dog bowls with water access in the front lobby. We had a small hiccup when we first arrived when trying to get into our rooms, but the manager was quick to resolve this issue. They did not offer microwaves in either building which would have been nice to heat up the leftovers from the restaurants nearby. Because we came from out of town, we had difficulty finding day sitting for the dogs.

  The places listed on the website would only watch pets if they were residents of Newport and had a membership to their facility. We kept the dogs with us the entire trip. It would be great if there was a service associated with Paws to offer day sitting. It wasn't a deal breaker for us, but it may be difficult for those who depend on this service. I would 100% go back to this place. The second floor is definitely the best place to stay, less stairs and nobody walking by to see you. Thank you again Paws on Pelham!

  Cutest place ever!

  My stay at Paws on Pelham was so fun! You can choose from what room you want to stay in which I love! Some have extra amenities or sleep more than 2 people. Room was clean and filled with towels. Beekman goats milk products which are amazing! Tthere is an innkeeper who shows you around, gives recommendations, texts you when your room is ready as well - very helpful! Breakfast was wonderful as well and served made to order. They had a different thing each day as well as multiple choices of juice, coffee, hot chocolate, water, lattes. We stayed for two days and walked around. Went down to Thames which is always nice and busy perfect place for socialization since our pup is 5.5 months old. Overall such a cute experience! Definitely recommend!

  Great location

  Very dog friendly, clean. Initially smelled like disinfectant, but it faded. Not particularly sound proof, could hear people talking and other dogs, but then they could hear me too. Yummy breakfast sandwiches to grab and go.

  Loud AC unit, unable to sleep

  This is our second stay at Paws on Pelham. We stayed here two years ago during covid and it was amazing but this time is the opposite. We arrived and had parking issues. Parking space was not available, called the Inn keeper twice since the back-up space wasn’t available either. Eventually had it resolved. The worst was the loud portable AC unit. We booked this hotel six months back and wasn’t notified prior to our arrival that the rooms AC was broken and they had replace it with a ridiculous loud AC unit. We had no problem using it during the day but the night time it’s impossible to sleep. I can tell you we will never stay here ever again. After driving 10 hours from Virginia, all we wanted is a nice place to sleep. We can’t even get that. No substitute or support was provided by the staff.

  Great location, nice rooms

  PROS: could walk to nice restaurants & there was a park just up the street to walk our doggie. Nice front porch to sit out & enjoy night air after dinner.
  CONS: Our room was on 3rd floor - walking up many stairs, dragging luggage & dog. Concierge texted me code to get in front door the night before, but code didn't work. Fortunately, another guest saw us puzzling & let us in. She told us the code has been changed that morning BUT no one had told us. Had it not been for the friendly guest, who knows how long we'd have waited because there was no one in the office (no one was ever in the office as far as I could tell). Picky, I know, but a three-floor hike --- we'd not been warned about that & weren't prepared. I have a bad knee & our dog is 15, so it was extremely inconvenient.

  True B&B plus all the amenities for your dog makes this place a perfect fit! A gem amongst Newport B&Bs; definitely recommend and will return! Plus GREAT innkeepers Ebony & Allison.

  This place is spotless and adorable! great location and service. It’s a true dog friendly inn, not just a place that allows dogs and charges extra to bring them. Nice little park a block away for quick walks. We’ll be back!

  Very clean. Great staff. Recommend a chair in the room. Was surprised we had to go across street for breakfast to another inn that didn't accept pets. Defeats the purpose.

  Fabulous experience

  Paws on Pelham was so clean and well maintained. The staff was so friendly and attentive; and the breakfast etc was delicious. All dogs there were well behaved and socialized. Highly recommend.

  Great service, wonderful getaway spot

  Love this place! The reviews below are accurate, as are the photos of the rooms on the website. We stayed in room 6, which is basically a small apartment. We basked in sun in the morning, and the pups were torn between lounging in the king size bed and the couch when we weren’t out exploring - the couch is against the window and they could sit on the pillows and watch outside. Very comfortable inside - you control the temperature in each room, and can open the side window if you need some air. Plenty of plug ins - and USB plugs in the outlets near the bed and kitchen were a nice touch. It is keyless entry so one less thing to lose😀. Service was excellent - they helped move us in and breakfast was great. location is great - a few minutes walk to a Giant and pet store (Wag Nation) as well as basically next to Touro Park, just up the street from Bowen’s wharf (tons of restaurants) and about a mile from The Breakers.

  Paws on Pelham is a gem

  For my first getaway in a long time and my dog’s first ever vacation, Paws on Pelham did not disappoint. Allison greeted us at the door for our early check in and showed us the lay of the land. The room (#5) was bright and clean, and the bathroom alone was quite beautiful. Bailey was inspecting the dog houses but his favorite area was probably the window seat/bench where he had a great view of Pelham Street. Parking was convenient and just under 2 blocks up the street. Across from the parking lot is Touro Park which was ideal for walks and taking care of doggy business. I met Ebony at the café where she explained all about their process for breakfast. This breakfast was not just your average grab n go— there were breakfast sandwiches, hash browns, pastry, fruit, juices, oatmeal (everyone’s favorite! *wink wink*) were all available. The Ruff Top Deck had great views as well as the porch and patio out front provided a nice outdoor area. Also the side patio with the landscaping gave the impression you were in a secluded garden far from the hustle of Newport. I could go on but I think I’ve hit the character limit. In short, Bailey and I would definitely make a return trip.

  Amazing Dog Friendly Hotel

  We really enjoyed staying here. Very clean and a great place to bring Fido. Rooms are perfectly set up for dogs. Allison was very nice and accommodating. Location is central and you can walk to the major attractions. We look forward to our next visit.

  Great Experience

  Easy check in process. This is a great location to stay at if you love to travel with your dogs. All rooms are pet friendly. Ours had food bowls and a pull down dog bed. It is in walking distance of everything. Great little park up the street to walk your dogs. We will definitely be visiting again.

  Great Dog Friendly Inn

  Our stay was wonderful. Every detail of the inn is tailored to dog and dog owners. The innkeeper, Allison, and the assistant innkeeper, Susan, were attentive and personable. Allison cooked a delicious breakfast every morning, which you could eat at the cafe or take "to go." Our pup got homemade treats and the room we picked had a dog house/bed built into the wall, water and food bowls, and small touches like dog-themed wallpaper and coat hooks. The room even had a wine fridge. We would highly recommend staying here with your dog!

  Beyond Dog Friendly

  Our room was absolutely precious ...We arrived to fresh baked pumpkin dog treats, a list of dog friendly restaurants and locations to visit, and we received a big welcome from the innkeeper Allison. I travel quite a bit with my dog. We always stay in pet friendly hotels and cottages, but Paws on Pelham took "Pet Friendly" to a whole different level. This B & B was designed specifically to keep your dog comfy and cozy.
