Room was great. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was a definite plus. Four bones rather than 5 because hotel is undergoing renovations. Renovations created a two-fold issue, first being a LOT of space taped off made it difficult to find a place to walk our pup. Second issue was construction began at 8:00am. Plenty of warning from the front desk and a note and earplugs left in the room. Would definitely stay here again.

We didn't know the hotel was under renovations until we went to check in. And, at that point it was late and other hotels in the area were full. When we got to our room, there was a nice note apologizing for the noise and two sets of earplugs on the bed. And sure enough, at 8am we had scaffolding and workers right outside our window. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the hotel DID NOT reduce their prices.

We are traveling with our dog. We got a corner room on the 5th floor with nobody next to or across from us. Great!! They have a dog station at the left back of the hotel. It was stocked with poop bags and the trash can was usable. GREAT! We could easily walk on the grass next to the back fence.

The desk clerk was amazing. Our room was very clean, nice, and comfortable. Too often, people with dogs are given the crappiest rooms in a hotel, but not this one. We felt that we were treated the same whether we had a dog or not. I highly recommend the Drury Inn and Suites Birmingham Lakeshore Drive.

Good room size, very nice staff, free breakfast!! Great location with a lot to eat around you, and Walmart is across the street!! Cheap dog fee compared to other hotels around!! Only complaint, the rooms are a little dated!!

We loved the bed and the free meals. Great service. One issue we did have, was the tax rate there is extremely high. We paid 80.00 in taxes and 40.00 for pet fee. 199.00 a night.

We had a great experience with our dog. Just as in a previous Drury experience, our room was beautiful and we detected no reduction in circumstance due to having a dog with us. We are VERY PLEASED with Drury Inn in several categories and would recommend.

We stayed at two Drury Inns on this last trip. Both allowed our doodle in our room for a$35 surcharge. There was plenty of space to take her outside to do her doody. Drury offers a complimentary breakfast as well as a complimentary light dinner. They didn't go overboard on either, but both were definitely adequate. We'd stay at a Drury Inn again when we're travelling with our dog.

I had never stayed at a Drury Inn before. I absolutely will again. The staff was so nice and the free evening cocktails and food were awesome. They are very dog friendly. They gave us a room on the first floor by an exit door so we were close to the dog walk area. Great room and a great price. I booked it through BringFido.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and had a great protocol for COVID. Even included free dinner w/drinks and breakfast. Front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool. The room was nice and clean, updated except for carpet. Quiet and comfortable along with plenty of places to walk our dogs. My only complaint is that in the morning there was a ton of trash on the far end parking lot of the hotel along with folks who don’t clean up after their pets, I know this has nothing to do with the hotel but maybe something they should keep an eye on. I felt safe here with my 2 kids and stayed on our way back to IL. Would definitely stay here again.

Please, note that the below review is for a different hotel. This hotel was extremely loud in the lounge area. We had to walk up several flights of stairs when coming and going from our room as we were put on the 3rd or 4th floor and they did not want us using the elevator with a dog. When we checked in, we asked the person at the front desk several questions and she flat out ignored every one and never answered any of them. The pool was crowded and seemed to be small as it was divided between indoor and outdoor. The entire hotel sadly seemed to be racially segregated, right down to all white people on one side of the pool and all black people on the other. This was very awkward. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and met expectations.

Worked out well. Ran into several other guests with dogs. Good solid breakfast. Get there by 5:30 pm to take advantage of evening goodies. We arrived after 7 and missed out.
