    First and last stay

Friendly staff, but the rooms are well past their prime. The artificial wooden floor edges are warped, making toe and paw stubs frequent and painful. What appeared to be stool was wiped on the bathroom wall, mold speckled the ceiling, and the drapes were badly stained. The “resort” really does have potential, but in its current state is quite gross. We will NOT be going back.

    Great Location

My dogs and I loved exploring the creek. The room, #12, was comfy, cozy and had everything we needed (adding a few hooks by the door and a shelf, drawer, or small wardrobe for clothes would be the only change we suggest). For our winter stay it was great having a fireplace. We'll be back in warmer weather to enjoy the patio, grill, and hammocks!

    Hidden Gem

I probably would have never found or overlooked this place if it hadn't been for BringFido. The Oak Terrace Inn is nestled in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon. Our unit was #11 and had its own BBQ, patio, fireplace and large jacuzzi tub. The grounds are phenomenal with a path and terraced garden that meanders down to the stream. There are hammocks right in the steam, and dozens of nooks to quietly read a book or meditate in paradise. Compared to the high prices in Sedona for accommodations, this is a great value. Check out Garland's only a short distance away and West Fork Trailhead for a gorgeous hike along the river (dog friendly on leash) just maybe a mile North along the 89A.

    Just Okay

While the property is lovely, the bungalow where we stayed was old and cheaply built. They were also doing loud construction in the adjacent bungalow, which was unpleasant. The staff doesn't even acknowledge that you have a dog, except when they collect the pet deposit. No dog amenities whatsoever. The grassy area is nice but very small and not fenced in. While we were staying there, they had a wedding event and the next day the grassy dog area was an unpleasant mess. We will not be returning.

    Incredible location!

Beautifully nestled in the woods. Bonus of a huge jet soaker tub in our room. Lots of space to walk dogs down by the creek, including a specific grassy dog area.

    Mediocre Customer Service

Room was decent. Nice location. Understandably it was no fault of the hotel staff’s that all attractions were closed due to fires, but the receptionist at the front desk was borderline rude and condescending. First, I have never been to that area of Arizona so I was following my GPS, which took me to the wrong location. After a long drive from San Diego, despite many breaks, my dog was incredibly stressed out and crying constantly so I was trying to get her to a stationary location as quickly as possible. When I called the hotel the receptionist simply told me “we are by the Dairy Queen” as if I knew right where to go and how many DQs were there. When I asked if he could quickly check the address online for me his response was “well, I’m sure if you just plug it into your GPS it would bring you here.” Unfortunately, there was very spotty signal and I needed assistance, which is kinda his job. Additionally, after I got there I witnessed him being condescending to another patron. When she asked about hikes he said “You didn’t see the big signs as you were driving in? Everything is closed.” Tone is everything in customer service. If you don’t like your job, find a new field to work in. I just hope all people in Arizona aren’t as rude as he was.

    Quiet Retreat

After camping, this was a welcomed retreat. We stayed in an enclosed patio room with views of red rock.

We really enjoyed out stay and definitely plan to return

We rented a bungalow and it had a cute little terrace - my pittie won't go anywhere paved, so this was a big help. The creek behind us is cute, but we were too busy hiking & biking to use it much. Staff was very friendly, and I love that I could take both my 55lb dog and my 10lb dog for the same price with no problems. It's a chill place in a gorgeous area and only minutes from Sedona proper.

    Private Creek Access

Grateful all breeds and no weight limit. We had a blast exploring the creek where we saw three Arizona river otters playing. Even had a dog run on location, but we played in creek instead.
