  Great dog area

  The play/poop area was fully fenced and gated. It had 3 or 4 types of ground cover (pebbles, rocks, grass, bark dust) for your dog to choose from. They could run and play safely, and the area was clean and well maintained. The rooms were clean, well equipped and roomy enough for a dog crate. There were a few issues with the room, but they were minor, and we enjoyed our stay here.

  Never Again

  What a scam. Modern font on sign and website convinced me this wouldn't be horrible. It was suggested by BringFido so I thought it might be okay. It was horrible. Paper thin walls, blinds didn't close, bathrooms smelled like mildew, door didn't lock. All around the worse motel experience I've had in thirty years.

  Good spot!

  Very friendly staff, clean rooms, and good area away from downtown. Brewery next door has outside with dogs.
  Might want to call them directly too, to get info.

  Great overnight stop

  We didn’t really get to enjoy much of the hotel. Due to traffic we were in and out in 12 hours.

  Awesome and Safe Place to Stay

  I absolutely loved my stay at the Redwood Riverwalk Hotel. As a woman traveling solo with my pup, it’s important to find a safe my place to stay. This is gem of a hotel. Me and my pup checked in late after a very long trip. The staff was super kind and considerate. The room has lovely vinyl plank floors and exceptional clean! Such a relief for a dog owner like me. Bonus, as mini dog park for my dog get her wiggles out and go to the bathroom safely within the vicinity of the hotel. I highly recommend staying here!

  Just sort of ok

  This hotel is just sort of ok. There was nothing terrible, just a bunch of little things that really add up. For example, our reservation was clearly for three people. But we only got towels for two people, and the seating for our table was only for two people. We got 3 breakfasts, but only 2 sets of utensils. The breakfasts were really skimpy. The hotel didn't have enough staff to take care of the guests. Only one person on duty to get everybody's breakfasts, make coffee, and take care of checking people out at the front desk. Our tv didn't work. The beds were old and kind of saggy. The doggy potty area was almost all gravel and river rock, and the fence was not completely secure. The hotel's solution was to tell people to keep their dogs leashed instead of securing the fence.

  On the good side, our room had new laminate wood flooring instead of carpet. That's the first time in a long time I felt like the hotel floor was clean enough to walk on barefoot. The staff were all very nice, just so busy they couldn't do everything that needed to be done. The coffee was really good.

  Any of my complaints are really minor by themselves. If it was only one or two of the things I listed, I wouldn't even mention them. But our 2 day stay was constant little annoyances. I won't stay there again.

  The Redwood Fortuna Riverwalk Hotel

  The day my dog and I arrived the power went out so it took awhile to check in but eventually the power did come back on. I had an upstairs room. The room was carpeted but no smelly carpet or room. The room was clean with a fridge and microwave. The plumbing and AC/Heat unit worked fine. There is a large area in the back for the dogs. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was pretty quiet at night since the hotel is located a little ways from the freeway. There is a list of breakfast item (very limited due to COVID-19) that you can order in advance for the next day. A Shell station close by but no eateries.
