The room was clean and recently renovated but it was bare minimum just like Motel 6. Ice machines did not work and no vending machine to purchase water. The person checking us in was not friendly and pretty much useless. Will not stay here again.

The people that worked there were fine but I did not feel safe. We arrived close to midnight. Hotel is being renovated, only one elevator working, shady going's on outside... Dude was passed out by the working elevator with his butt hanging out… Oh and so the elevator that worked was is in another building with walkway to this ours. Well, apparently 2d floor of that building takes you to the first floor of the one we stayed in!!! So we had to go back to 3rd floor of other building in order to get to the 2nd floor of ours. In the morning, some was just knocking on the door saying he was maintenance…I did not call for them and responded WE DON’T NEED MAINTENANCE. Checked out shortly thereafter!!! 😱

Old and smelled very musty. Relatively clean but needs a make over and upgrade for sure. Sunlight shines knee the door because it isn’t flush. Looks to be 90s (maybe) decor. The musty smell was the worse thing and the a/c barely worked.

Not sure how this received high scores. We were woken up every morning at 5:30 sometimes by the smell of pot from the people making noise right outside our door. I’m just hopeful that we didn’t catch something from the disgusting carpet.

I was traveling to Texas from northern California in mid February 2021, and this hotel had a good price. You do get what you pay for. The location is very close to the highway, and does not have much space to walk the dog. The parking lot is fairly well lighted, which helps with midnight strolls. It is motel style in that your room opens out to the parking lot, which is good for nervous dogs and quickly loading/unloading. The room itself was old but clean. The wifi worked well enough. The most annoying thing was the smoke detector constantly beeping every 10 minutes. I was able to drown it out with headphones and my dog was able to ignore it for one night. There is a nice park, Lakeview park not too far away in a nice neighborhood. If I were to stay in the area again I would spend a few dollars more and see if I could find something near the park. Okay for one night.

My dogs and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was very pet friendly, close to the freeway and my daughters house. Would definitely stay there again.

Our room was good sized and comfortable, the staff are all very friendly, both to dogs and humans, and the hotel is right off the highway.
A good choice if you are staying in North County.
