  A wonderful stay

  The front desk staff was so friendly and the hotel was spacious, very clean and perfect for me and my Golden Retriever. There were a number of grassy areas and lots of poop bag stations. The 2 runs were just rocks (stones) and Piper didn’t want to walk around there. I think it hurt her feet. But the grassy areas were lush and pleasant. I will stay there again if I’m in GJT!

  The room was clean and comfortable. The outdoor space available to my pup was wonderful. A place she got to do her zoomies.

  Nice Grass Grounds

  Clarion Grand Junction offered us convenient 1st floor room with access to fenced off-leash gravel dog run plus on leash large grassy area in the courtyard near the pool. This is especially nice in desert country where water is precious and grass uncommon. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast decent. Thanks to the all the helpful and thoughtful staff.

  Friendly staff

  Check-in was easy and staff was super friendly/helpful. I loved the courtyard for dogs (it’d be better if they let dogs off leash in there though since that’s the main grassy area). The dog runs were great in the morning but since it was all rocks (instead of grass), it’d be too hot for dog paws during a summer afternoon. Even dirt would be better for paws, but overall this was good for Rusty - and the interior of the hotel was more fun than others I’ve seen (had an indoor area with pool tables, another pool/hot tub, etc.).

  Disappointed

  While the hotel itself was fine, the staff was friendly, and cheapest stay for our dog, we were pretty disappointed with the "dog area." It could have been awesome since it's a fenced in area to let your dog off leash for a bit and it was what drew us to that hotel. However, the ground was covered with river rock that was baking in the 100 degree heat all day. What human would go out and run around on it barefoot? Why would we expect our dogs to enjoy it or even be willing to do their business there? A little grass would be nice.

  Definitely worth a repeat stay!

  We arrived late at night and were greeted by friendly staff to this slightly older but nice hotel. There were no extra perks like dog bones, but I bring my own. We were in a ground floor room, and there are multiple exits to get outside. There are separate fenced areas for big and small dogs, neither have grass or dirt, just smooth-ish rocks, but I was happy to be able to let my girl off leash to run a bit after hours and hours in the car. There is a nearby grassy area - not really supposed to use for dogs but there are bags & a trash can there and in the fenced areas. The room was carpeted & clean, with no pet smell at all. We saw several dogs in the morning but never heard barking. The room had a fridge, microwave & coffee maker. The free breakfast was typical of most hotels. NOTE no pets allowed in the restaurant area. There were also indoor & outdoor pools that we did not use. Overall a great experience for the first time taking a dog to a hotel!

  Very nice hotel

  The rooms are clean and well equipped and the breakfast is awesome. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is terrible - avoid it at all costs.

  Everything you need

  Two generous sized dog exercise areas that were very clean. Room was quiet and clean. Carpet rather than laminate floors in the “pet friendly” room, but it too was clean. Good stop along I-70.

  Clean hotel

  Clean, breakfast had nice variety. Room was comfortable for older hotel. We had our large dog. The fenced outdoor area for large dogs was covered completely in rocks. It was difficult to walk for our pup. We found a grassy area for him.

  Getting a bit rundown

  Really nice staff and great looking facility. The cons are just that the rooms we had were clean but getting rundown. Also, there is no way that the beds are “queen sized”, they are more like a twin and you wouldn’t want 2 couples in one room!

  Pet Friendly to the Max

  They really do love pets (and the humans they bring along for the stay)!!! I have never visited a more pet friendly place. There are only 3 areas pets aren’t allowed: 2 pools and the eating area. They have multiple well stocked pet supplies for when duty calls. There is a dog run for small and large dogs. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable which we humans liked a lot. Highly recommend!!!

  Hotel was quite nice. The breakfast buffet was awesome, it had bacon! Very helpful and friendly staff. Definitely stay here again.

  Pleasant stay, great dog runs

  I really appreciated the team working the desk while we were there. Very accommodating and attentive to guest needs. The pools (indoor and outdoor) were clean and inviting. Dog runs were decent sized and well maintained.

  Awesome and Relaxing!

  The room was amazingly clean, fairly spacious and the beds were like sleeping in the clouds. The staff, breakfast and everything was definitely going to give us a thumbs up to come back!

  Can’t say enough good things!

  I’m making my way across country solo with my pup and this place finally offered me a good nights sleep and amazing accommodations for my girl. Clean, comfy and quiet room…most of all I felt safe being alone. The staff was super friendly and I’ve learned that makes a huge difference. They have 2 fenced dog runs and a yard so my girl could finally run off leash after hours of driving. I’ll definitely be staying here on my way back through, highly recommend!

  Ideal place for dogs

  This was our first time staying in a hotel with our dog. It has set the bar very high. The enclosed grassy courtyard is huge: Tons of space for him to sniff and play, room to run for fetch and plenty of space to play with his new friends who were staying here too. The free breakfast was a nice surprise and better than many hotel breakfasts. Though the breakfast area itself is off limits for dogs there is a large comfortable seating area right by the breakfast area that dogs are allowed in. Our room was very clean and had no funny smells, dog or otherwise. Beds were comfy, A/C worked great. The staff were all friendly and very accommodating.

  Interior Dog Area

  This was a great hotel for me and my dog. They had a wonderful grassy area that was completely fenced in for dogs. It was very nice for the dog, but for me as well. There was a lovely swimming pool and spa, and the breakfast was well above average!

  Loved the outdoor courtyard! Very well kept. My dog loved being off leash and able to sniff around!

  Our room was very nice, clean & quiet. There are plenty of places for dogs to exercise & take care of business. A very good Italian restaurant here also.

  Wouldn’t Recommend

  they do not have dog sitting and cost is 85 not 65 as listed. Very loud. I asked for a quiet place I can hear people walking up and down the halls. kids pounding on ceiling and dogs barking all over. I won’t stay here again.

  Nice Stay

  Very friendly and welcoming staff. parts closed due to construction and covid. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Refreshing to not have to pay a pet fee.

  Easy and clean

  Staff is very nice, even offer to dog sit if you want to go out for a while. Room was large and comfortable. There was a lot of noise from a group of kids, wish they were on another floor. Dog barked when they were playing in the hall. Bathroom could use an update and dog relief area small and not well lit.

  Best dog hotel I have stayed at. Comfy beds, clean rooms, and free breakfast in the morning. Staff was very friendly and loved my dog. Place out front and back for my dog to use the bathroom and walk around.

  Epic Road trip

  The dog area is wonderful, lots of grass in the interior area, and staff was very friendly with dog. However our room did have a bug issue (roaches and termites). When reported to frontdesk they said it would be addressed which is as much as I can expect. I would give this hotel another chance because of all the other pluses and reviews if I am traveling in this area again.

  Great place for cats!

  I've stayed in this hotel twice with my two cats and it is excellent! The bed frames do not allow under-bed access, so skittish cats cannot hide out of reach! The pet friendly rooms have direct outside access, so it makes loading an unloading very easy. Their complimentary breakfast is excellent! Full breakfast, not just danishes!

  nice place to stay

  This is a nice place to stay they have a great court yard that you can take your dog to go to the bathroom. They have some rooms that have doors that open to the court yard, would be really nice and easy to take dog out in those rooms
