The air conditioning unit was blowing out stinky moldy air. Asked to change rooms & they would not accommodate us. Asked for refund they couldn't do that either. The only thing they said they could do is have maintenance man come & spray chemicals. We chose not to do that since we had to stay in the room. Terrible place to stay.

While the room needed to be updated, the cleaning wasn’t the best, and amenities like soap were missing. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. I’d stay there again for that reason alone.

Mattress was soft and not very firm. Side door to the North was open to the outside; didn't have to have a card key to get in. Breakfast was ok.

Pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a room that did NOT smell like the usual pet-friendly room (you know the smell!). The hotel is nicely updated and in good, clean condition. I want to give it 5 bones, but I can only leave 4 stars because of the flooring; The room was carpeted and I strongly believe pet-friendly rooms should have hard floors for optimal cleaning and sanitation between guests. NOTE: The hotel states that pet-friendly rooms are all first-floor rooms with tile, but mine was on the second floor with carpet. I think I may have been put in a regular room due to a room shortage, and that is the reason for the carpeting and the surprising lack of any pet odor. That being said, this review may very well be for a non-pet room!

It was clean. Bathrooms a little old but we were put on second floor with the big dog. He refused to enter the elevator and refused to go down the stairs. Very poorly thought on.

The location of this Best Western was perfect. Publix, Walgreens, Starbucks and Dunkin all within walking distance. There’s also a cool trail to walk or run right next to the hotel... As for the hotel itself, it was very clean. We stayed on the first floor with what looked like linoleum flooring and a good sized room. There’s plenty of grass for the dogs to do their business and they have doggy bags and trash there as well. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. This had to be my favorite pet friendly hotel yet and will be my go-to anytime I’m in Ft Myers.
