Amara Cay Resort welcomes two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $50 per pet, per night. Dogs must be crated in order for housekeeping to enter. Bowls and waste bags are available upon request, and there is a grassy area for pet relief on the property. Dogs are permitted in the Tiki Bar. Cats are not allowed. The Tiki Bar is dog friendly and the wait staff was very accommodating. We will take our girls here again even though there were some things related to the stay that we didn't like, such as the bar stools at all the bars are very uncomfortable, and the music in the lobby is terrible for an island vibe place. The bars and restaurants were understaffed and the food was expensive but you get huge portions. The dogs loved it.
When we first arrived we put our bags and 🐕 in the room and ran to get something to eat. About 30 minutes later we got a pleasant text saying there had been complaints about the dogs. No big deal.
Staff was friendly but nothing exceptional for the pooches. No good place to walk and exercise the pups and way too expensive. Paid $$$ for a basic accommodation and view of the parking lot.

Couldn’t recommend this more highly. The whole hotel looks like a postcard and our dog was welcomed just about everywhere. The only place she couldn’t go was by the pool. There were treats at the front desk and everyone loved seeing her.
