Beautiful Victorian building in Centre Ville Montreal. NO ELEVATORS! We were welcomed to a gorgeous room on the 4th floor with a working electric fireplace and floor to ceiling windows. Caution - windows can be opened but there weren't any mesh screens in place so if you have cats or very curious dogs - best to leave the windows locked. Concierge staff were warm and welcoming. Beautiful dog park within 10 min stroll from the hotel. Within easy walking distance to Westmount Woods and the Westmount lookout (35-40min walk). 50 min walk to the Old Port. Complimentary continental breakfast daily. Outstanding coffee. Would 100% recommend for anyone (person or pet) fit & able to walk/climb as the building has steep & narrow staircases. My dog loved it.

The hotel required a $400 advance. If you left your dog unattended in the room, it cost you $400. Good thing the weather was nice and a few sidewalk cafés permitted dogs. Although the staff was very kind and helpful, the hotel was in need of a serious, refresh. Science included threadbare towels, lack of outlets in a room for charging devices, CFL bulbs in lights. Just two or three blocks to the old city, made it a fine location, but less than stellar execution.

Located close to a large dog park. The Italian restaurant across the street allowed our dog on their patio. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hoping to return for a longer stay.

We were on the top floor (4th) of this quaint older hotel. It was a walk-up but we don’t mind a little effort. Room was spacious, espressos machine within arms reach of the bed, fairly filthy carpet but clean marble bathroom. We would have given this place a 4 bone review. However, 2nd morning of our stay I began hearing odd noises in the middle of the night and by 5am I was nudging my husband awake because it sound like a wrecking ball was hitting the hotel roof with us right under it. I can’t tell you how chilling it is to find out that yes indeed you are waking up in a building that is getting demo’d. Fun times. No one in the lobby, no other souls around, we managed to locate the back door and get out. Hotel management was across the street in another building. They assured me they’d comp the room and did not follow through. By the time the valet brought us our car they had shut down the crane down, I’m guessing other guests were in the building too.

The staff was really great! Super helpful and friendly to me and Luna! There is a massive dog park literally five minutes away as well! Luna made a bunch of new friends! The reason why I’m only giving four bones is because the animal friendly rooms are on the first floor so it’s below ground level and the single window in our room was at ground level so there wasn’t a lot of natural light and it felt a little claustrophobic. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back!
