This is a great old hotel being reborn. The rooms are wonderful, the staff is great. The parking lot is dark and makes night time dog walks a bit less comfortable than we would like.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The outside of the hotel sort of looks like it has shut down but, the rooms are really nice and look to be newly renovated. The name of the hotel is Riverview and it is right off the River, however you cannot see it from the hotel (you have to walk along the road to the bridge). The only complaint I really had was they look the front doors overnight for safety and you need your key to reenter. That part is fine but, what wasn't is that I took my dog out at 5:30am, in my pajamas and of course, the key card machine did not work. I stood out there for 20 minutes trying and trying (and hoping my husband was wondering where we were!). Finally a guy showed up at the desk and let me in. He started to say I was doing it wrong so, I asked that he stand out there and try and it didn't work for him either.

Hotel was recently remodeled. Area around hotel has been hit hard by COVID. There is a nice river trail across the street and north of hotel or across river Bridge to walk dog.

Work travel came up on short notice and ended up having to bring my dog with me. The staff were all very friendly and often gave my dog treats as we came through the lobby. They were also very understanding when my dog barked at the boar statue on occasion (apparently that happens a lot). Good experience! Not the mention the rooms are very nice. Definitely would stay here again.
