Summary:
Camping in California! Our Tentrr site is tucked into the furthest corner of our rural 6 acres. Our home shares the property, but still allows you to feel like you're camping. Our tent is like a little guest house on our property, tucked into the Oak trees. You cant see our house from your site and we cannot see you. Our site allows easy access to fantastic day trips in the Sonoma Wine Country, which includes wine tasting, Michelin Star restaurants, the beach and spas. Spend a busy day exploring the Sonoma Valley and rest your head away from the busy tourist spots. Our pond, is home to a visiting River Otter, fish, Herron, frogs and an occasional crawfish. We provide you with a hammock, to nap, or stargaze.
There are almost too many activities, within a 30 minute drive, to list! The Russian River offers canoes for rent. There are hundreds of wineries and breweries (list available upon request) that offer tastings and farm to table, beautiful food. The small town of Bodega Bay, on the Pacific Coast,is just a short 20 minute car ride, and allows beach access and fresh seafood. Our local town of Sebastopol has a wonderful shopping/eating/gathering spot just 6 minutes from our site called the Barlow. If youd like to cross the Golden Gate Bridge and visit San Francisco, you can go by Smart Train or drive 1 hour up the 101 highway. We also have wineries, local to Sebastopol. Were known for our Pinot Noirs. Sebastopol is known for great organic food, live music, several seasonal festivals and the Gravenstein Apple.
We will pre-fill your drinking, cooking and showering water for your solar shower, which hangs from a tree. (The shower water is heated by the sun. Rustic for sure!)
The Space:
Rural site nestled next to a natural pond in the Sonoma Wine Country. 55 minutes to the Napa Valley, 20 minutes to the Pacific Coastal town of Bodega Bay. 1 hr. from San Francisco. The boho town of Sebastopol (Aka Peace-town) is a quick 6 minute drive from our site.
Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.
Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
-Water
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Occupancy: Max occupancy refers to the total number of campers allowed at the site during your reservation. We welcome campers with larger parties, but you may need to bring extra camping gear of your own in addition to the tent that is already provided. Please plan accordingly.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Other Things to Note:
Beginning June 1 and throughout fire season there will be NO FIRE PIT at the campsite. We can comfortably host 2 adults plus one child. Please no visitors to your campsite. There is a propane heater in the tent and a propane camp stove (we will provide all the propane) 1 dog, on a leash is ok. (We do see wildlife here)Never leave your dog or young child unattended. Always keep your pet inside after dark and in the early morning. Quiet time is from 9pm on. Please no loud music. This is not a party site. But a quiet place to sleep. Your site is a short 3 min. walk from your parking space. We will provide you with a wagon to carry in any gear you like.
Our site is close enough to town that you can order groceries from Instacart within a 2 hr. window. And if you dont feel like cooking you can order delivery from many great restaurants via Grub Hub or Door Dash :-) We also provide a cast iron skillet and a camp style coffee maker/percolator so you can make coffee on the propane stove. Bring your own coffee or add them to your cart if youd like us to provide local excellent coffee.
