  Great location, easy on and off highway. The room didn't have any soap, shampoo, cups, trash bags or any other necessary items. Breakfast was minimal with most items unavailable and empty. Staff was nice but seemed to have minimal resources avail. Good place to walk dogs.

  Chose this location because we really liked our last stay (and the coffee). However, because our puppy is very noise sensitive, we reserved a suite with a separate bedroom. When we arrived after a 14 hr drive we were told such a room was no longer available. While the room we got was nice enough - our dog was up most of the night, which kept us up too before another long drive.

  We booked our room based on the reviews. The price was awesome too. We got there late, the desk clerk was efficient and served with a smile. The room was fabulous and met our needs especially with the dogs. If you have time and you need to let your pups burn off energy, Jacobson’s Park is brilliant and only 7km away. We would stay again if ever in this area!

  The room we had on the first floor was convenient but small. The cabinet was broken and the bathroom was very minimal (nowhere to hang towels or clothes) and the sink was outside the bathroom which was odd. Otherwise, the bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good.

  Perfect!!

  I requested a first floor near an exit for my old Newfoundland girl. Room was clean, no odors and the bed comfy. Nice grass area and a field next door. They had some PF Changs micro meals at the desk which was nice because we were beat and didn’t want to go out to eat after traveling so long. I’m picky so this will be a regular stop on the way north and south. Easy access from freeway.

  Nice hotel. Clean room, lobby and grounds. Far enough from highway so I didn't hear traffic all night; king bed was comfortable! Plenty of green space to walk our dog. Also adjoining vacant grass lot. Basic breakfast; coffee, pre-cooked eggs & sausage, cereal, waffles, muffins & yogurt. I would stay here again.

  This place is a great spot if looking for a very welcoming place for your pet. While we were there we saw 4 other dogs that got to spend the night. We actually were running way behind check-in and called ahead and they checked us in over the phone so we wouldn’t loose our room. When we finally got there at 3:30 am there was a very nice person there to give us our keys and give Einstein a treat. When we checked out the same thing happened - Einstein got a treat and a nice pet from the very friendly person at the counter.

  Doing a road trip with Baxter. So easy to work with BringFido and our overnight stay at La Quinta went smoothly. Baxter felt very comfortable and we did too! Definitely would recommend it!

  First let me say the staff was amazing. That’s the only reason I’m giving three bones. The room was musty, damp and didn’t feel clean. The bathroom didn’t look clean, and the tv was left on. Anyone who really wanted to could have busted through the door; it was basically coming off its hinges. I would’ve complained but I had been driving for the last 16 hours and was exhausted.

  Considering we only needed a place to sleep and eat breakfast in the middle of a long road trip this place did a good job. The rooms were average and the breakfast was decent. The best part was the staffer that checked us in at night. He was a delight, so kind and personable and I was exhausted from driving so I know I was grumpy but he was so nice.

  Stayed 1 night with our 2 dogs. Everything was great. Excellent price for the facility. Check-in and housekeeping staff were very nice. Room was large and super clean. Bed was comfortable. Easy location if traveling through. Plenty of grass to walk the dogs. We would definitely stay again.

  Great location for our needs

  We had a suite and couldn’t be happier. Lots of room for both of us and our Newfoundland. The biggest plus was having a kitchenette with a full size fridge with freezer compartment. They even supplied dish soap and some utensils. Place was clean and staff was very friendly. More than ample grass areas to walk your dog. We will definitely be staying here in the future.

  A little spartan but a great deal

  As the title indicates, if you are looking for luxury accommodations it's not here. But everything we needed was provided at a reasonable price. Some minor negatives: the luggage carts are the small hand push ones with the lever brakes. So you might need to make two trips if you pack as much as we do. And there only seemed to be two carts available, so one time we had to wait for a cart. For some reason, no eggs at the free breakfast. Maybe they've gotten too pricey. Note that breakfast ends at 9am rather than the more usual 9:30.

  It was clean, quiet, extremely pet friendly. The field was a great spot for our girl to get exercise and take care of business. The staff was kind and attentive. The breakfast was great! We were not disturbed at all by noise outside, or inside. Highly recommend and will return.

  There is a large vacant lot next door but no one picks up dog droppings so it’s a land mine! The modest grass around the motel was free of dog droppings so if your Fido doesn’t need much space stick to within 50 feet of the building.

  Their policy is that you not leave your dog alone in the room. That required us to order carryout for dinner. Since the room does not have a table and chairs, my wife ate at the desk and I had to eat in a chair off of my lap. They also provided only a mini-bar of soap that had to be shared between the sink and the shower.

  It was very nice, but I'd like it if hotel put customers with dogs on the ground floor for ease in transporting dog, cage, & accessories, not to mention walking the dogs. Ours really hates elevators; stairs are not great for lugging all their stuff up to the room. Thanks!

  Only looks good on the outside

  Smells musty. Dirty sheets, horrible beds. Literally was tossing all night. Gave up around 5am couldn’t take it anymore. Got motion sickness. Only good thing was shower pressure and breakfast. Never will stay there anymore.

  Dog slept well!

  This is our second time staying at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable for both me and my labrador retriever. We didn’t hear the other doggies (and people) and we were able to sleep through the night. The hotel is accessible to the highway and there’s also a nice park just a few miles down the street. The only caveat is that other dog owners don’t pick up after their dogs in the hotel grounds.

  Staff super friendly, rooms clean, lots of grass. Exactly what you need for a pet friendly overnight stop. Only downer was the dog owners who didn’t pick up their pooches poop. Come on pet parents, you are better than this and make it suck for everyone when you don’t clean up after your pet. This is not the hotel's responsibility, so not knocking them for this!

  We booked this hotel last minute on our cross country trip. We arrived and found out that we had been upgraded to the executive suite due to overbooking. The room was perfect and my 2 dogs loved having the extra space to move around in the room. The hotel itself was clean, but due to weather and continued rainfall, the floor was a bit dirty in the main entry and hallways. Be advised that the complimentary breakfast ends at 9, as opposed to 930am like other hotels. Plenty of room for dogs to walk around the hotel and a large empty field next to the hotel if you want to let your dogs off leash.

  Just Ok for the money

  The room was clean, although incredibly muggy (more than outside). The problem was that the trash cans outside were over filled, and they did not have a dedicated dog waste container. There is no marked dog walk area, and there was a lot of dog poop on the grass directly outside the building. We walked the dogs the in the mowed part of the field next to the parking lot. We avoided the tall grass, but still ended up with red bug (chigger) bites. Spray with deet before using the field!

  Lots of dog owners at this hotel! The hotel itself was fairly standard, quite clean, pool was small-ish but the kids stop had a blast. The Jacobson Dog Park was a quick 3 miles away, and really nice. They also have a splash pad and great playground for those traveling with kids!

  We have stayed at other pet friendly hotels and didn’t expect very much but figured it was just one night. This hotel was fantastic. We travel with our cat who generally doesn’t like the strange smells in a pet friendly hotel and usually finds a place to hide that is hard to reach. The beds are enclosed underneath and there are very few other spaces she can get into. The room was spotlessly clean, the breakfast full of variety, and the staff was wonderful. This will be our go-to hotel on our trips north.

  The price was so reasonable. We had a fabulous room on the first floor right next to the door outside. Easy!! The room was excellent. Temperature for the room was nice and cool. Most of all the staff (Keith and Kaitlin) were both super helpful and accommodating!!! Highly recommend this place. We will be back!

  This location was so understaffed it looked like a ghost town. One person at the desk to manage all tasks, so frequently there was no person. Coffee machines not up and running at 6 am as promised. Also beware, slippery floors in the bathroom area, strange linoleum.

  Hotel was ‘ok’. Only two towels, tv was on when we entered (threw us off), pet hair everywhere - I had to take an allergy pill right away. I was left at the desk for over 5 minutes before the breakfast attendant came over to check me out (another staff member came to the counter but would not make eye contact or greet me or even offer up that someone would be with me soon). When we asked about nearby food options we were handed a package of info - unfortunately none of the places we tried to reach (online or by phone) would deliver. After 3 hours we finally had some food delivered through Uber Eats (the only option available - we had to download the app). They picked the food up but took over an hour to deliver to us. Never again. Wall were super thin- when the people upstairs decided to get up at 5 am, it was so loud we had no choice but to get up at that time, even though we were exhausted from a long drive the day before.

  Pretty sure because I booked with BF I got a room on the first floor right next to an exit! The hotel has a large field next to it and Jacobson Park is just a couple miles away with 2 very large grassy dog parks.

  La Quinta South Lexington was a quick night’s stay while passing through on our travels. The room was clean and comfortable. Anyone who is sensitive with deodorizing may have issues, though. Our only issue was the grounds had not been mowed so the grass was high, and our dog is short. There was also a side entrance but only had stepping stones and no lighting for entering at night. Overall, satisfactory for what we needed.

  Got a great rate on BringFido. Hotel was either brand new or very recently updated. Several other dogs were staying there, too, and even a bird. Green space not too far from the front entrance for the dogs. Lacy loved having her own queen bed! Great experience!

  We pick this hotel based on the reviews on BringFido. We wanted to fine a please to stop for a night on our long road trip. The room & lobby were clean. The security of the hotel is the reason for the low rating. Took our pup out for a potty break late afternoon, and saw a guest in one of the side doors sniff some whit substance off his hand. I am not passing judgment on this man but definitely new we would not be letting our teenage daughter take our pup out for potty breaks alone. At every single hotel we have ever stayed at, have locked their doors after a certain hour and required you to use your key to reenter. I took my pup for a very early morning potty break, some time between 2-3am and there was no one at the front desk (which I was not expecting anyways) but the door open freely without need my room key.

  We left the hotel very early and we observed a man roam the hallway, who then picked up a pizza box out side of a guests room, so we assumed he was part of the staff. However, when we were loading up the car, the man asked us if we would allow him to stay in our room since we were leaving early. Again, I am not placing any judgement on this man but based off of the lack of security, we cancelled our stay the following week when travel back home from our road trip.I really had to leave a bad review, typically I would address any issues with staff or management but there were no staff available at all this that we could find.

  Also, if staying here with your family be aware there is a strip club right next door. Also, if bring your pup be aware it is very noisy in the hotel. Your pup will hear every guest that walks by your room and also any occupants that are in any next to you.

  Room was dirty, shower dripped all night leaving the floor wet, couldn't turn on the air because it smelled horrible. Just because we bring a pet it doesn't mean we should get a bad room! Will not return.

  Wasn't the greatest, but it worked. Lots of cleanliness details were overlooked and this was the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. Walls are very thin, so if you have a noise responsive dog, this one might not be the best choice. We could hear every footstep in the room above us and so much comotion in the halls from the time we arrived. Even at 2 a.m. there was still a lot of stomping and door slamming! Also, our toilet ran for about 45 seconds every 10 minutes or so, and that was loud too. I didn't sleep well at all and neither did my furry boy. The water pressure was good and the staff was friendly though.

  Room is smaller than other LaQuintas we have used. They also do not have a hot breakfast like the others. The pool is open with limited capacity and requires a reservation. Very good for the money. Dogs were accommodated at no charge.

  Pleasant, clean, convenient location, lots of grassy areas

  Hotel was located conveniently of I-75, staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and beds comfortable after a long drive. Large (and it was large) open field for your fur baby to run. Can’t say we explored the area much further than the hotel itself but would definitely stay here again.

  The hotel was clean and room was perfect for us. Our 2 little shih tzu puppies sleep in their crate, loved the room . Plenty of grass around property for puppies. Plenty of other doggies visiting Lexington Kentucky. Front desk was very nice. This was our second time to stop here in the last 30 days.

  Check in was easy, rooms were nice and clean, no issues.
  The walls are pretty thin and the pet friendly area is at the end of a hall next to an exit and gym so bangs could be heard most of the night which I wouldn’t have noticed without my dog but we ended up keeping treats by the bed and tv on so he didn’t react to the sounds all night . Probably not suitable for a sound sensitive dog. The exit door closed hard.
  Otherwise, there’s a big grass lot out back to walk in . I brought my own poop bags. I did see some turds where inconsiderate folks didn’t pick up but nothing excessive on the property.

  This hotel was easy to find. The reception person was not overly friendly on checkin. Our room was on the second floor at the end of hallway which was a bit challenging to get our dog and supplies and our thins both up and down in the am.

  The place seemed okay,,, not Lysol clean. However, the noises were unexceptable. Our refrigerator, which obviously needed defrosted, woke us up at 6 AM. We could hear the neighbor's hair dryers, showers... etc. Just a poorly made, cheap building with nice employees

  All rooms non-smoking. Room had such a strong odor of smoke, it literally made me gag. I carry disinfectant spray, febrezze air freshener when I travel, this made it bearable. People in this room prior to my stay need to be charged the 250 cleaning fee. This room needs to be taken offline and thoroughly cleaned including carpet.

  The hotel was clean and updated and even provided a nice takeaway breakfast. The sound isolation was awful. I could hear someone next door lightly blowing their nose. Next time - ear plugs.

  We have 2 dachshunds we were traveling with. This hotel was so accommodating. Extra friendly front desk. Room was huge! Also, the room was super clean with NO smells. We have stayed at a lot of pet friendly hotels. This one was a 5* experience!!!

  Stopped at this hotel for a night while traveling. The hotel was clean and our pet friendly room was ready when we arrived. The walls are pretty thin so you could hear the other dogs nearby which woke up my dog a couple of times. Overall it was a good place to stay.

  Just what we needed!

  We had traveled 6 hours with our American Bulldog and just needed a place to sleep. We arrived at 1 a.m. and they were ready for us. The gentleman at check in was very kind and helpful. Our room was very nice. It was a good experience for traveling for the first time with our pup. I'd stay again. Due to Covid there was no breakfast served but they did have goodies in a bag with fruit and coffee.

  Not so great

  The check in girl was very nice and friendly. My room unfortunately backed up to the swimming pool, which I did not know would be open til 11p. A group stayed in the pool until closing, screaming and talking very loud and jumping in the pool. Having traveled all day with my two little dogs, I was exhausted. When that group left the pool I’m pretty sure they entered the room above me, because the noise commenced again with loud thumps on the ceiling as though someone was jumping off the bed. Finally at midnight I was drifting off to sleep when I was suddenly awakened by the sound of the exit door by my room opening and slamming shut. I had naturally assumed that exit door would be locked by 11p. The door banging continued all night disturbing my sleep and disturbing my little dogs. I finally went to sleep at 315am and was awakened at 530am by that same door. When I got up and checked, it was the strong wind that was yanking it open and slamming it shut. So with less than 3 hours sleep I got up and headed back out on the road facing another 7 hrs of driving to complete my trip. Very bad experience, will never stay there again!

  Perfect For Us

  My husband and I, and our dog, stayed here one night. It was very comfortable. We liked the larger fridge! The alarm clock had 2 USB charging places which was also very nice. It seemed like a quaint remodeled hotel - not the fanciest, but very nice for the price. Due to COVID, there was understandably no breakfast served. Coffee was good though.

  We have been to many la Quinta inns and have had great experiences. We went to this one in South Lexington and were discouraged . we ended up with a room that had the sink in the main room right by the front door so if you open the door and somebody was standing at the only sink ,they literally would bump into you. The toilet was small and the door was very hard to close unless you stood almost behind the toilet. I did ask at the front desk if they had all the rooms like that and she said no in another wing they had the bathrooms and sinks in the same room. We also felt like this was smaller than the
  King rooms we had before in La Quinta. It was way more expensive ended up being a total of $120 and I see now that they reduced their prices drastically. I just need to let you know that we would not go back there because of our experience
  Also we were aware that we wouldn’t get a big breakfast for what we paid for the motel we received not much of anything.

  I was glad to find a place to stay overnight with our pup. The room was clean and comfortable. The put us in a room close to the back door, on the first floor. It was easy to take him out when needed. As far as how he was treated...nothing special. Not sure if they offer treats, bedding, etc, as other hotels do, but we weren't offered anything special. There is lots of green space around the hotel to take a walk with your pup....as long as you watch where you step!

  Clean and friendly. Staff was very helpful. Had car trouble earlier in the day and the woman who checked us in helped me find a place to go at 4PM on a Saturday night. It worked out with a great ending and allowed me to make the rest of the way home. Everyone treated our Lou girl well too.

  We usually stay at Hampton Inn but not all of them accept pets. We have tried LaQuinta's before but this is by far the best we have stayed in. Very easy access off & on the Interstate. Check in was easy. Rooms were big, updated & very clean, no doggie odors. Lots of areas to walk your dog. Big variety for breakfast: waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cereal, muffins. We will definitely stay here again.

  Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by staff who politely and warmly checked us into our suite including a treat for our pet. 😊 Our suite was very clean and completely equipped for our stay. Easy access to outdoor facilities for our pet. The morning breakfast was very good with a variety of choices and well stocked. We would definitely return in the future if traveling that direction.

  I’ve stayed at several LaQuinta’s but this was by far the best. Seconds to check in and out. Large breakfast buffet: waffles, eggs, biscuits, fruit, cereal, muffins... just huge! Rooms were big and clean. Zero smells of previous doggie guests. Ample amount of green space past the bushes.

  Couldn’t Ask For More!

  This La Quita was in good shape. The room was clean, spacious enough and comfy. When I arrived, I asked if my room was in a quiet area, as I am a light sleeper when in a strange place. When I was told that the desk attendant chose to put all of the dogs together and on the highest floor, I requested a room change to minimize any potential problems. I was given a quiet room two steps from an elevator. The hotel is next to a HUGE grassy field. Had it not been raining, I think we could have played fetch. The young adults on the desk could have been more welcoming. I had to ask about dining hours and whether or not guests had direct access to the food pantry behind the desk. I got the feeling that it was inconvenient to have to provide guidance. It appeared that I was taking attention away from socializing. I could have misunderstood. Still, it is worth mentioning. Breakfast was generous and decent.

  Very clean, but pack earplugs!

  We stayed at this location for the first part of our trip. It was very clean even though the room showed some signs of wear. The walls are very thin though so it was hard to get a good night's sleep - I felt like I heard every door open and close on the hallway. I bet requesting a top floor room at the end would help with some of the noise.

  Breakfast is included with your stay and it was pretty good! They work hard to keep everything stocked.

  With a good sound machine and my earplugs, I would totally stay here again. It's very clean, and to me, that's so important.

  We stayed here on our travels from SC to WI and could not be more pleased. We never stay in hotels with our dogs and our son encouraged us to use this site to find one. This hotel did not disappoint at all, and there were a LOT of dogs there, and we didn’t know it until morning potty breaks! Very clean, decent staff. Will stay again!

  I was on a long trip and this was just an overnight stop. Bed was comfortable after a very long day of driving. Although there were other dogs staying at the hotel, there were no issues - no odor, no noise. There was space around the hotel where I could take my dog for a decent walk, which was nice. I stayed again on my way home. Just as nice the second time. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a nice perk.
